Stellar representation of this country, and a really successful trip opening up and respecting the people of these three countries that were visited. This is a presidency to be proud of, indeed! Safe journey…

Hi Theo! Trust you are having a good day!

IMO they have done an excellent job representing the US of A by their warm interaction with all whom they came in contact. I am so proud of them! Never before have I seen this level of ‘naturalness’ and involvement with the ‘natives’ on the part of presidential families travelling abroad. And, we won’t even mention the way the President interspersed Libya and other business into the trip without seeming to be distracted in the social events! As people have said here off and on, whoever succeeds this President has a high standard to live up to. Safe journey home, President and Mrs. Obama and the rest of the family! You have shared a terrifec eye-opening weekend with us.

Chipsticks, there is something weird going on this wonderful blog first, i had trouble getting on here, then I saw my comment with CTgirl’s name on it and it was vey long and I couldn’t make sense with the whole thing.

    • March 23, 2011 at 2:28 pm

Hi Me4Obama, I was wondering if what happened with that comment was that CTGirl accidentally copied and pasted other stuff that appeared on the page??? It came up weird, alright, so I just deleted all the stuff apart from the comment itself. It could be, though, that WordPress is still glitchy after it went down yesterday. Will check to see if other sites are having problems. Thanks for letting me know 😉

Yes, I enjoyed every step of the way, of the Obamas vacation. I thank you President Obama for dealing with some of the MOST Important business and Challenges of “OUR” Country, while you were away. You have shown the world, that “YES YOU CAN”, take vacation and be plugged In with the rest of the world at the same time. You have shown the world President Obama, that “YES YOU CAN”, deal with rescuing a Country, and coordinate business meetings and conferences with Security, and other Countries, all while you are on vacation, and Enjoying the presence of your Family. President Obama, you have shown the world, that “YES YOU CAN”, be a “LEADER” of our Country. President Obama, I just want to tell you, just how much you make me proud 🙂 Thank you President Obama, Thank you First Lady Obama, I love you 🙂 I pray that our Lord and Savior continue to bless you richly 🙂

Actually – this wasn’t a vacation, it was an official visit to three countries to discuss trade (and, by extension, American jobs) and other opportunities for cooperation. Just wanted to be clear about that… 🙂 But everything else you said was great!

There has never been a President who has handled so many major issues at one time as President Obama. He is amazing. On another note all of the sudden after bashing President Obama the headline at Huffington post now reads Gaddafi retreats from key city a, Air strikes bring relief to residents who suffered under brutal seige. Oh, maybe President Obama knew what he was doing. As I said President Obama is amazing.

Thank you, Chipsticks, for all the work you do to keep us up to date. Although events in Libya are dominating the news right now, I am confident that President Obama’s ongoing efforts to improve our relationship with our neighbors in Central and South America will yield long-term benefits for the U.S. as well as our partners in the hemisphere. It would be expecting too much to look to the media for a balanced coverage of all the things accomplished by our President who works incredibly hard dealing with multiple issues and crises at the same time.

President Obama will come home and explain to his critics that we (USA) will pass the lead role off to NATO, France, or England. I admire his courage in taking action against Gaddaffi. To this day, I still have a huge amount of disappointment in President Clinton for not being proactive on Rwanda. 600,000 to 800,000 people did over the course of 3 months, because of the repercussions of Belgium colonialism.

Sticks it’s been a wonderful trip. I hope President Obama accommplished all he set out to do. I am going to miss this opportunity to see Malia and Shasia now that they go back into hiding. I’m sure Brazil, Chile and El Salvador are happier nations today. Brazil and Chile are already established and I wish the best for El Salvador to get the help they need to grow their world addressing their crime rate and powerful gang. I don’t know the exact status of the Salvadorians in the US but the Billion dollars they send home each year to their families supports the nation. I hope that can continue.

Sasha is such a happy carefree child. My fave picture of her is one taken in Spain of her in her rainbow swimming suit and a sarong dancing away regardless.
