Last stop! One the one hand, I’m sad to see this trip coming to an end, because it’s been so fun and the people of these three countries have really embraced the First Family. On the other hand, I can’t wait for the President to come back and smack down these spoilt little children that have been all over the TV spouting the most horrendous things, in the face of so many disasters and crises. Reminds me of when the President was in Europe on one of his early trips, and he came back after the right wingers had been having a field day criticizing him and telling lies, aided and abetted by the press, and he came back and told them something about how they’d been bad while he was away… I can’t wait.

I bet those lovely El Salvadorian children had no idea that they would be able to shake the Presidents hand along with his family. If their parents are they, I am sure they have tears in their eyes. Sasha and Malia got to walk down the red carpet!!! What a surprise. They all look fantastic. I esp love sweet Sasha’s dress.

It is refreshing to see a President in our lifetime be so enjoyed around the world, and we get to witness it. Thanks for the pictures here, Chipsticks!!!!
I find it so amazing to see that our POTUS has a great admiration for the youth of the nations where he visit. Have you all noticed how he always try to include the children and youth of the country that he is visiting. I love to see this because it reminds me that we have a President who is focus on making sure that he presents himself with this great love for the young people to get his message that we are our brother’s and sister’s keeper. It must be so inspirational for these young people to have this to hold on to in their lives. Can you see any one of the so far announced 2012 opposition people having this type of impact? My answer is no. These young people are the future for the good unity that we need in our world. Hopefully, POTUS will be the leader in showing us how to tap into such great future leaders within our youth. I am elatedd to see this all the time. My dear friends, we have a great leader in our President.

Afghans will start taking over security of various districts over the next few months. Why has Kucinich not issued a statement over this? Why has the PL not talked about this. Why nothing but crickets from the right wing nut jobs? Why could I only find this huge story on a chinese new website? Isn’t the media interested in the Afghanistan war….or perhaps only when it’s bad news?

A big ‘thank you’, Fred for this positive piece about Afghanistan! I wouldn’t have found this on my own. This is one of the advantages of a site such as ours here – we can ignore the MSM and educate each other. After all, the number of our ‘reporters’, ‘videographers’, investigators, etc. is growing daily and they are scattered all around the world. šŸ˜‰ šŸ˜‰

Again, Michelle and the El Salvador First Lady seems as if they made a connection on what I think is their first meeting. Very cute how they are cuddling.

I was thinking the same thing, while trying to remember if FLOTUS has ever been pictured with a prominent female, First Lady/Queen with whom she did not seem to have made a ‘warm’ connection. These guys are great ambassadors for peace!

Cutest danged kids. Positively gorgeous wife. Handsome and energetic husband. Is this the Dream First Family or what???! LOL

You can probably say those same things about your own family.

Don’t you just love how they hold up to all of us, a reflection of what is beautiful, loving, possible and real. We are so fortunate to be graced with their leadership and service. Live Long and Strong Obamas!

I love how the Obama girls are dressed in lovely girly dresses, so age appropriate and cute!!!

    • March 23, 2011 at 2:27 pm

Elroy I was thinking the same thing “age appropriate”. If our young mothers would take these young girls, in dress, as role models, I don’t think you would see our 9 and 12 year olds wearing too tight jeans and very low bared midriffs. Some of our 12 year olds dress and look like 20 year olds. Sometimes the provocatively dressed pre-teens lead to so much misjudgment on the part of males. How a female dresses should not matter, but it does matter to males.
