    Chipsticks,
Thanks for all your postings. I have been a lurker, but felt I wanted to say something about your site and BWD site. You are my sanity. I had to turn off the Cable new and even C-Span today, it was just a bunch of BS and just outright ranting about our President. Thank you again.
I so enjoy all the pictures and your commentary, very well written.

Thank you so much Roberta, you’re just lovely. I know how you feel about the constant sniping in the MSM, it would wear you down, so if this place provides some relief then I’m really thrilled. BWD is my pick-me-up every day, she’s a gem, so hopefully, between us, we can keep a few spirits raised! Thanks again Roberta, really appreciate the message.

Welcome Roberta! I notice an increasing number of people like yourself who are getting turned off by the inane rantings of the cable news. People are thirsty for facts when they watch the news – if we want entertainment/drama we will tune in to DWTS, American Idol, or some other mindless reality TV show. There is only so much conflict driven narratives that the human psyche can tolerate before it begins to take it’s toll. These sites here are oases for those of us who seek to be informed and inspired.

I feel like Chipsticks has taken us on a mental vacation away from the bitter people of the USA. We have all gone into a new place of hope for the future or as the President told the people of Brazil this is the future.

    • March 21, 2011 at 9:44 am

Ah, that’s lovely Sonjia. I think we all needed a mental vacation, and beautiful Brazil sure did the trick. Looking forward to Chile.

‘I feel like Chipsticks has taken us on a mental vacation’

She certainly has, Sonjia! We’ve had excellent sights, good company, fun, laughter, entertainment.. and even food (orchestrated by Me4Obama). What more can you ask for on a vacation?! It’s been a blast, and it isn’t over yet! šŸ˜† šŸ˜† šŸ˜†

Thanks Chipsticks, you are an awesome vacation convenor and we are all truly appreciative! šŸ˜€

I notice that big sis Malia is carrying Sasha’s bag (which definitely seemed too heavy for her!).

Malia seems so mature for her age. I am sure she is a great help to FLOTUS. Mrs Obama and Mr Obama did a great job in raising these young gems! Notice FLOTUS was carrying the bag first and Malia took it from her…what a sweet child and big sis to Sasha. They seem to get along well with no or very little sibling rivalry.

Welcome Roberta! Thanks to Ms Chipsticks and BWD, we all have two blissfully hate-free, idiot-free zones to turn to for information and updates on our president and for real and honest world news. Can’t thank the two of them enough.

Between these two, Chipsticks and BWD, I am simply in awe.Whatever I would have done without these two, God only knows. Not with all the whining from the baggers, PL and those annoying talking heads on cable “news”. They can hate all they want, but I have tuned them out and I am day in day out, among freinds here on TOD and BWD, and I simply care less what more they blubber about. On to Chile, now. Cant wait.

I totally concur with your comments about our two blog heros. I would be lost without Chipsticks and BWD. Also Kudos to CR at Propresobama.org., who is one of the pioneers of our free space. I get all my information through these sites and my cable news is off.

Thank you all for your warm welcome. There are several sites I check out numerous times during the day. I am a retired person, so have some time on my hands. I enjoy everybody who comments on these sites. It’s fun to know that there are other people out here that thinks like I do. It’s tough in the family, mostly on the other side of the political spectrum. They don’t vote in there best interests. And I feel some of them are a little bigoted. Can’t change that, we just don’t discuss politics.
Thank you again for your warm welcome.

Roberta I agree that it is wonderful to have this site and other pro ~President Obama sites to visit, it ia indeed a sanctuary from the MSM garbage. I totally sympathize with your plight re your family. I have the same thing here in the UK. Most of my family don’t speak to me as a result of my support for your great President but I know they will never change but I shan’t dwell too much on that. This is an amazing site, a true oasis from the haters and biggots who just seem to live to bash the most incredible President in my lifetime.

Welcome, Roberta! This site, BWD’s site, and other pragmatic based blogs (see Chipstick’s blogroll)literally saved my sanity. I was very depressed most of last year, and it got worse the closer it got to the November elections. The PL, frustrati, MSM, tea partiers, right and left-wing politicians and pundits, and firebaggers had got on my last nerve. I’m also retired, and was investing quite a bit of time reading blogs and watching MSM produced “news” programming. I stopped watching MSM produced “news” or visited sensationalist blogs, and the difference has been profound. On pragmatic blogs I get good, solid news, intelligent commentary, and it’s free of emotional outrages and ugliness. They are oases of sanity and are just what I need!

First, welcome Roberta!!!! I know you will enjoy this site as much as I do. I can’t get enough of the pictures, videos and the informative narratives. I think this week’s pictures and videos surpass all the others. It was great to see the President and First Lady smiling during such turbulent times and to see how much the people in these countries seem to love the First Family.
This site has it all. You are all doing your homework to keep all of us informed. I love catching up on everything at the end of the day. I know you will always be here to bring important and substantive issues to light with candor. Thanks for all you do and thanks for allowing me and so many others to travel right along with the First Family. You bring all the excitement right into our homes and that is such a service. I can’t wait to check in tomorrow. Thanks so much!!

I am late coming to the party. Hi Roberta!! This is our peace on earth during the Obama administration. With Chipsticks and BWD we know that we can keep up our President and are among likeminded friends. These past few days we are on a vacation with the Obamas and enjoying it immensely. It’s wonderful to know that we can just pull up a chair to our computer and off we go.
