There was a time I would have been more than happy to have babies with Michael Moore, I loved the fella. Then I read ‘Stupid White Men’ and my jaw fell to earth when I reached the chapter on Ireland – he was so embarrassingly clueless about the political situation in the country he had, for me, all the credibility of Fox ‘News’.
Then I learnt that he isn’t just clueless at times, he can also be a spectacular hypocrite.
Remember his impassioned support for union rights in Wisconsin and his criticism of President Obama for not being more vocal at the time?
ABC: Michael Moore used some non-union crew members when union workers were available in the production of his latest film “Capitalism: A Love Story,” a documentary that argues the capitalist system allows for greedy corporations to exploit working-class people.
…In a statement issued to ABCNews.com, Moore’s agent, Ari Emanuel, said the filmmaker wished the union included more documentary crew people – but he did not deny that IATSE members were snubbed in favor of non-union employees.
…An internal AFT memo, obtained by ABCNews.com, added that the non-union workers hired for the film did not receive health insurance.
The organized labor source said Moore and IATSE were in talks about Moore’s decision, but did not know why Moore had used union labor for some jobs and non-union employees for other jobs for which he could have employed union workers.

And now, on the issue of Libya, Moore is calling the President a hypocrite. Well, in fairness to Mike, he’s an expert on hypocrisy.
$$$$$$$$$$
😉
First..!! 😀

There’s a special place in hell for people like this. The Michael Moore’s of this world will attack a person who is working overtime, and with the best of intentions – all the while, they’ve got their own skeletons hanging in the closet. I have no other words.
That’s the problem with idealistic thinking. It’s a great baseline, but then you have to accomodate reality.
Gotcha—-Michael! Ari Emanual is Rahm’s brother……interesting, but probably not politically significant. Business being business, isn’t money one the quickest ways people become seperated from their “principles”.
I thought that was the irony of al ironies lol
Chipsticks… Michael Moore’s babies???? What!!! LOL! There was a time I loved him as well, but his babies, Chipsticks? LOL! 🙂
But seriously, there are days when I really hope he is coming from a good place but then he opens his mouth and, well…
I must admit that I can’t help but feel somewhat let down by Michael Moore because I held him on a pretty nice pedestal.
Well ….. okay ….. I might have gone a little far with the baby-making thing …. although…..
😆
LOL 🙂
The louder they yell, the more guilty they are of the very thing they’re yelling about. That’s how you can spot a hypocrite.
What made ABC dig that up. Im glad they did LOL
Michael Moore pretty much lost me when he wrote that diary at dkos.. telling President Barack Obama what his mom would want him to do.. telling him to make his mother proud. Moore is a hypocrite.. and arrogant.. and I’m actually very sorry to see he like so many other loudmouths doesn’t practice what he preaches.. that is something I’d reserved to believing primarily about republicans. I said today of Kucinich.. there is a white superiority these folks are flaunting.. and it is showing all of us their true colors.. imo.
Seems to be a remarkably large lot of them these days: hypocrites.. liars.. fakes.
The problem with people like MM, IMO, is that they do not know when to stop. They do one thing right, get some acclaim, and immediately think they are greater and more knowledgeable than they really are. Someone patted them on the back for a few accidental words of wisdom (or in MM’s case a decent documentary)and now they feel justified in pontificating on every subject, even on those about which they are ill-informed. It’s sad really, because it shows so vividly their need to be acknowledged – to have their ego stroked. Someone needs to remind them of the old saw -‘It’s better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.’
So tell me Michael Moore can rip President Obama and run to Wisconsin to save the day what is he doing about his home state?
Gov. Rick Snyder and Republicans controlling Michigan’s legislature are pushing through 40 different anti-worker, anti-union bills. The most sweeping may be the emergency managers bill, a financial martial law that allows governor-appointed corporate managers to literally take over local governments, dissolve them, destroy all collective bargaining contracts and even oust elected local officials.
So what is Mike “the working man” Man gonna do to save Michigan from the bad republicans who are attacking the weak of Michigan. All Mouth and no action.
Don’t people like Michael Moore and Kuninuch care about the people in Libya being murder by Gaddafi? Do they care?
Usually it is about egos. They can’t fathom in their small minds that in spite of all of the obstacles that have been created and the obstacles that President Obama inherited he is still succeeding. Hypocrites are liars and deceivors, period.
Unlike a lot of others on the PL, I don’t think Mike is a bad guy. I also don’t think he is intentionally a hypocrit. He’s just not very smart and neither are his documentaries.
Wow. Just wow.
I have been in a union pretty much since I was 18. At present, I am in three performing unions, and have been in a total of six unions in my life including IATSE and The Teamsters.
I need to know WHY M. Moore used non-union workers. I need THE REASON. And I need it SOON.
This is so upsetting.
Color me unsurprised. He invests in halibuton as well. At least he did.
