Me4obama, you are something else. Love your enthusiasm for our first family. I too dig them lots. They look lovely. What a welcome from the friendly people of Brazil. And the little kids, wow, they are soo in awe, one is crying tears of joy, thats soo touching. Now that I see a female Prez. Why in God’s name cant the U.S elect a female Potus? Europe, S. America, Africa and even the muslim world is far ahead on this. Now if only Michelle can stand for Potus, or Hillary that is after PBO leaves. God, after this damning down of America, the Repugs dont ever deserve a chance to lead this country ever again.

I love it when we get to see them be honored and adored. I know I almost feel like they are part of my family and the pride takes over. So much negativity is shown over the media that I really look for positive pictures and information to keep the sense of country together.

The American media is rife with racist bigots, on the right AND the left. Let’s start telling it like it is. That’s what all this negativity boils down to. Every damn event that has happened since Nov 2008 has to be reported with a snarky MSM “report card” on what this President does or doesn’t do or say. We are much smarter than this Black President so we have to monitor and grade him every step of the way and tell him what he should or shouldn’t do. Our interest in global and domestic events exists insofar as we can make them about President Obama (and how he has failed to do or say X, Y and Z). These know-nothing “political analysts” are getting paid six and seven figure salaries to push uninformed unintelligent vapid opinions (that are wrong 95% of the time), while people can’t find work to support their families. Day after day all I’m hearing in the news is this poll and that poll about Obama, and what this senator thinks about Obama, or what that former WH official said about Obama. Since when opinion polls and “report cards” comprise more than 50% of the news, which are supposed to be about facts and actual events occuring? Where were all the instaneous report cards on GWB? And now where are the report cards on Boehner? When all potential political opponents cannot help but call attention to the President’s ethnicity and question his birth place, you know it’s nothing about policy. And the racist MSM will gladly give these bigots a platform to spread their dangerous drivel. It’s pure unadulterated KKK RACISM. I’m waiting for Kos, Huffington, Schultz, Cenk, Greenwald and Hamsher to join the Teabag Republicans and pull out their birther cards. It’s just a matter of time. They are becoming that unhinged…BUT THEY WILL FAIL.
The reasonable American people (who do not appear for attention on the teevee) LOVE and RESPECT this President. The international community LOVE and RESPECT this President. Many supporters in the blogosphere LOVE and RESPECT this President. Our President has the support of his loyal VP, FLOTUS, David Plouffe, and many others. And together, we will not allow a minority of jealous critters to take him down.
End of rant. I promise to be more positive for the rest of the day.
Agree hopefruit. The conduct of our national press since President Obama’e election has been so petty, unfair and head-bangingly stupid. Revolting and damaging to our democracy. Anyone willing to criticize or “grade” Obama, Come On Down! I even saw Jamie Rubin, of the Clinton admin., on msnbc earlier criticizing Obama on Libya, which re-inforces the belief that many of these critics are Clintonistas. And the rest are all manner of our most small-minded—racists and envious types, corporate honchos, wrongheaded lefty loons—any and all who hope to undermine the success of this President.
I’m hoping that arc continues to bend toward justice and they will all be silenced—finally.

Lots of wardrobe changes in a short period of time. Michelle is now in the champagne brocade suit I wore for my first daughter’s wedding—-bought it in Chicago too—I think she copied me. I’m going to have to check to see if it’s still hanging in the back of my closet. š

Msnbc just announced that President Obama will be speaking momentarily on Libya.
I read there was some kind of disagreement in Brazil as the President wanted to take questions from the press, and the Brazilian president did not. She was described as someone who rarely takes questions and gives no interviews. So they had agreed, before this latest development in Libya, to just make statements.
