Thanks Chipsticks. I thoroughly enjoyed watching that segment on wsvn. I love it when President Obama gives such tender loving care to LOCAL MEDIA. It’s the very best way to circumvent the traditional media firewall. You know it drives the White House Press Corps and the major networks nuts. What a pleasant and informative interview. No questions dripping with sarcasm, no gotchas, no interruptions, no hidden agendas. How refreshing…..
By the way, that million dollar smile at the end still makes me weak in the knees. I think of it as one of his secret weapons. It is totally disarming.
Someone on another site today credited David Plouffe with rerouting the President around the MSM and into local communities, and I must say it’s a good move! Now more ‘regular folk’ will be able to get a closer look at the President’s plans for their area through the eyes of someone who may be more familiar with their local issues. The President has a good, organized team, IMO.
This is so neat! When I started writing there were no comments, but after posting I realize that my comment falls in line somewhat naturally after LH and GB. 🙂
He also did an interview with our local ABC head anchor, Jim Gardner. The most notable thing the interviewer said, in my opinion was, “It takes a master juggler to handle the many duties of the President”. I can’t help but feel he meant him particularly, after noting the South America trip this weekend, while other situations are occurring. I was pleasantly surprised.

I think these interviews are helping with his numbers. Other factors of course, but people tend to feel better about him after they hear from him.

Talk directly to the people, no media hounds interpreting what you are saying.

Coming to a right wing media outlet soon, Lemon Martini gate. Obama drinking on the job!
I have no doubt that the they will.
