thank you for this reminder. I know I am going to have to reengage. We are all going to have to work so hard to make sure our super/duper president is reelected.
2012 National Democratic Convention in Charlotte NC week of September 3, 2012.
2012 National Republican Convention in Tampa FL week of August 27, 2012. They seem to be pushing Trump. But I wonder if they’re going to put up Jeb Bush–his wife was born Columba Garnica Gallo in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, where she grew up and attended high school. Her parents were José María Garnica, a migrant worker, and Josefina Gallo. That would get him a lot of the southern votes. Columba is a nice person.
Maybe she is also close enough to her husband to be able to tell him lovingly that his party doesn’t mean her people any good, so she can’t support him if he runs this time?
Donoharm, Do you think that Jeb would be haunted by his brother’s history of destroying the economy? It is also difficult to think about a third Bush presidency. What is your read on this issue?
Basic premise: never, ever trust a republican. They’ve been throwing Gingrich, Huckabee, Trump, Romney, Christie, Barbour, Huntsman, Palin, even Bachman at the talk shows, losers all. That leaves a clear plate for Jeb Bush. They have a complete, organized machine if they really want to get him in. He was interviewed, I just looked it up: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703583404576080053621757790.html
It’s a long read but very insightful to what we’ll be up against. This guy talks a good line. Put together all this ‘togetherness and aspirations’ talk of his and add what President Obama has been doing to bring other countries back to our fold, you can bet the repubs will get their propaganda machine buzzing. Whatever happens in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, et al, they’ll find a way to blame the POTUS and credit the repubs. And it’s important to stress, people have short memories, very short. They don’t remember who was the base cause of our economic meltdown; that Cowboy wanted to privatize SS—that’s where the funding for his invasion of Iraq came from—a nice fat IOU—that the bonuses paid to the CEOs were part of Cowboy’s package. They don’t remember that the War of Terror was in Afghanistan and Bush was the poster boy for Al Quaida. After the invasion of Iraq, Al Quaida moved in. There was only one political party before then. If we had waited, Iraq might have gone the way of Egypt. And if the POTUS keeps trying to compromise, it will look like he’s lost leadership. Thank goodness for Bill Daley and Plouffe. Dorothy, aren’t you glad you asked. Thanks and good luck to us. I’m still working on the WI issue from home.
Wasn’t there some hushed up scandal about her being a kleptomaniac(sp) back when Jebby was gov.? The Bushes have more scandals than the biggest closet could ever hold, lol.
Ole Jeb might have a chance to get in there but I really think it too late now. The Right Wing has taken hold of the Repub party and they are not about to back off for another Bush (especially since they didn’t like the last two). You have RW Reince Priebus running the RNC. The RW Governors running 12 states (I think)now. Why would they pick Jeb who believes in immigration reform. Even Carl Rove is kinda on the outside of Repub politics. He failed to win the Senate for them in the Midterms.

Dorothy I don’t think Americans would accept another Bush in the White House. I just don’t! A long way down the road perhaps…wouldn’t get my vote.
