so chris, you were saying?

CBS (March 2): New Jersey Governor Chris Christie says he is confident he could win the 2012 presidential election if he wanted to – but that he doesn’t feel in his heart that he is ready for the task.

“I have people calling me and saying to me, ‘Let me explain to you how you could win.’ And I’m like, ‘You’re barking up the wrong tree. I already know I could win,'” he said. “That’s not the issue. The issue is not me sitting here and saying, ‘Geez, it might be too hard. I don’t think I can win.’ I see the opportunity both at the primary level and at the general election level. I see the opportunity.”

Um, meanwhile…..

NJ.com (Today): Gov. Chris Christie’s poll numbers have taken a hit since his budget address two weeks ago, according to a Rutgers-Eagleton poll….

Voters are split on whether they have a favorable or unfavorable impression of Christie, with 46 percent viewing him favorably and 44 percent unfavorably. That’s down significantly from December…

….President Obama fares better than Christie among Garden State voters, with 57 percent viewing him favorably to 36 percent unfavorably.

Thanks cat48 😉

Thanks Chipsticks! Talking Points Memo reported on this poll and I don’t believe they mentioned PBO’s great numbers. Can’t trust that site either.

I can’t wrap my brain around the fact that Chris Christie really thinks he could beat Barack H. Obama for President of the United States. I really don’t believe he will win reelection to a second term in NJ.

He knows quite well that he can’t beat Obama. That’s why he’s not running in 2012.

He is as pompous as he fat. What a big YUCK! “And no, Christie, there’s no way you could beat my President. You’re full of hot air. And let’s just wait until that budget of yours shows its results.” These rethugs are very delusional, aren’t they? The only thing he got correct is that he is not ready for the task.

Okay, I think Christie is a funny guy, and if he weren’t a repug, I’d like him a whole lot more. However, even if he had decided to run in 2012, I’ve always thought that he couldn’t and wouldn’t win. It’s nice, when it really counts, to be tough talking and on point, but such an aversive personality will only take you so far with few people. After a while it begins to grate on your nerves and all you want to do is see and hear less of that individual, just as the people of NJ are now indicating.

And he really should never take a picture with our handsome, fit president. Makes his girth even more yucky. Sorry for going there but he deserves it because of his ugly attitude.

That 57% favorable amongst NJ folks for potus Obama gives me life. I was starting to feel like folks up North dun lost their dang minds.

As far as last week’s “darling” of the GOP and the Koch bros, I am not even gonna waste a thought on this disgusting person…..no words.

It sounds like Christie is a believer in Norman Vincent Peale’s Power of Positive Thinking.

PS to Christie — It doesn’t always work.

#1 He is not going to run-just another ego driven idiot.
#2 Newt, Christie………crazy. GOP’s are from the bottom of the barrel.
#3 He isn’t healthy enough to last 4 years with the stress of the Presidency.
    #5 He’s bluffing

Just like alaska’s sarah palin, it appears that Christie has bought into his own hype LOL!!! And as with silly little sarah, the buffoon christie is milking his new found fake self-importance for what it is worth – full of hot air and bluffing his way through, but way too cowardly to actually put his over-hyped fake ability to test!!!

In George Bush we had 8 years of a whole lot of bluster served up with a bit of self-discipline and not much else and look what disaster that is sure to span generations that got us!!!

Just imagine Christie:- twice the bluster, zero discipline, zero substance and two massive chips on both shoulders and the horror of unleashing this bozo on America and the world can only be imagined!!!

Bluster will only get a loud, obnoxious, indisciplined, massively dishonest, self-serving, underhanded, self-congratulating non-starter asshole of average intelligence only so far!!!

Fortunately for America, President Obama has and continues to raise the bar of excellence in leadership. Whomever comes after will have some seriously large shoes to fill. Lets hope we have another Democrat that can rise up to meet the challenge.
