ooops, good luck spinning this one fox ‘news’ ;-)

Cartoon from here

Bloomberg: Americans reject Republican efforts to curb bargaining rights of unions whose power they say is dwarfed by corporations, a Bloomberg National Poll finds.

As battles rage between state workers and Republican governors in Wisconsin and Ohio, 63 percent don’t think states should be able to break their promises to retirees…

The poll shows that political challenges to government workers are failing to draw broad support from a public more concerned about unemployment than government deficits…

…Sixty-three percent of those surveyed – including a majority of Democrats and independents – say corporations wield more political clout than unions. Public employees, meanwhile, are viewed favorably by a large majority: 72 percent, compared with 17 percent who have an unfavorable view.

…Sixty-four percent of respondents, including a plurality of Republicans, say public employees should have the right to bargain collectively for their wages. Sixty-three percent, including 55 percent of Republicans, say states without enough money to pay for all the pension benefits they have promised to current retirees shouldn’t be able to break those obligations.

GOP, stripping women of their rights under guise of being “pro-life.” Stripping workers of their rights under guise of “budget crisis.” Spreading Islamophobia under the guise of “radical Islam” and terrorism. Spreading homophobia under the guise of “marriage protection.” GOP, selling America off to corporations under the guise of “smaller government.” Wake up, America. Wake up before it’s too late.

So true, H! They are always working to remake the country to their specifications, and as you have pointed out, they can never be above board with their view of the country/world. They are always working ‘under the guise’ of something else, and yet they are dishonest enough to talk constantly about integrity, and morality, and ‘christian’ values/love!

Hachiko, Like Bob Dylan said, the times they are a changing. For the worse. Actually I find it to be scary. These loons are behaving as if it were the 30’s in Germany. Pete King is a racist ignoramus.

Speaking of mistreating public employees, it looks like the NJ Bully’s poll numbers have dropped 10 pts since December……Heh! Obama still viewed favorably by the NJ population…HA!

    From: newjerseynewsroom.com

“New Jerseyans’ opinion of Gov. Chris Christie has dropped 10 points since December, according to a Rutgers-Eagleton poll made public Monday.

At the same time, a strong majority of residents, 57 percent, hold a favorable view of President Obama, while only 36 percent view him unfavorably. The president’s favorable rating remains largely unchanged since December.

Following his Feb. 22 budget speech, opinions of Christie are nearly evenly split with 46 percent holding a favorable impression and 44 percent holding an unfavorable view. The 46 percent is down from 56 percent in December.”

Wonder why MorningHo didn’t mention this…..Ha!

This is another blaring sign that elections do have consequences. Whatever folks thought they were getting by either not showing up, or “sticking it” to Dems, they were sadly mistaken. Cutting off one’s nose to spite one’s face just leaves one disfigured. People, we have much work to do.

You’re right EDP4BHO. I caught a little bit of Ed Big Mouth Schultz radio show the other day and there was a caller who was voicing the same crapola that hurt the Dems last year on the run up to the election. I turned him off quickly. I emailed Ed last year before the elections and I told him, he was the one demoralizing the base not the president. Needless to say I got no response.

      These idiots never learn.
