I get so “teary-eyed” when I see all the well earned, authentic and enthusiastic support for our President, and the faces of those he is fighting for.
Enthusiasm is so contagious, no wonder the MSM works so hard to “dim” his light, and to thwart his reach…..despite the constant frustration the MSM inspires in me, I believe truth will prevail.
This is so true. I watched the speech he did last week in Florida at the school, and the cheering students were somewhat loud. When I watched Chipstick’s clip of the local news report, the cheers were downright deafening, as described by the local reporter. They did a seven mminute summary of his trip to Florida that was so positive, so complete – I forgot where I was. The MSM is definitely reducing the volume on the cheering crowds, and trying to downplay the reception he receives from the people. It’s now very clear what Michelle Obama was talking about when she said that the reception they get from the people when they visit towns, etc. is where they get their strength. That’s what the MSM don’t want us to see. Strength in numbers.
I was at the TechBoston event (volunteering) and I can tell you that I have never seen happier students. Speaking to a reporter, one student said that he still couldn’t believe that of all the schools in Boston, the President picked his school to visit. He said that he would never forget this day and, yes, he had plans to go to college – the first in his family to do so. The President mentioned that the school has a lottery every year because there are more students wanting to go to TechBoston than the school can enroll. And he pointed out that it should never be a lottery that determines a child’s future, that such opportunity should be available to every child. This event and those students have given me more reason to advocate for investing in education than anything I can think of. A great day.
Thrilled for you Hgerjard, sounds like it was a truly beautiful day! Will post the President’s speech as soon as it’s on YouTube. Thank for letting us know how the day went 😉
It was probably an unforgettable experience for you too – thank you for sharing. What I would give to be volunteering somewhere where the President is – I don’t know !!!! I would wager that this president is going to make a tremendous differentce to the drop out rate over the term of his presidency and beyond.
How exciting to be a part of todays event. These kids are working hard, against alot of odds, I am grateful that they are being afforded these educational opportunities, and that our President is recogninzing them for their successes.
Sorry to be so late replying – I had to catch up on all the news. I was near the press section and did not get to shake the President’s hand this time. But I did have that wonderful experience at an earlier visit when the President came to Boston to campaign for our Governor, Deval Patrick. Still, today was a great experience, and I feel that these events prove our President to be so right about his priorities. I just love listening to him – he’s always so inspiring. I don’t think that I will ever get used to anyone else in the White House after President Obama.
It is great to see Melinda Gates working with our phenomenal President!!!
I am particularly miffed with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck and that whole circus of so-called liberals.
It appears that affleck called up Cindy McCain (who was reluctant at first) and is now doing something or the other in the Congo.
Affleck and Cindy McCain were on George Stephanopoulous’ show this morning promoting their “collaboration” and George asked Afleck about Damon “dissing the President” and if he felt the same way about President Obama.\
Affleck deflected telling George that he would come back on his show to discuss his thoughts on the President!!!
I am really begining to seriously loathe these self promoting jerks like Affleck and Damon!!!
Affleck found time however to say that Damon’s mother is a teacher and so of course that makes Matt Damon all-knowing and justified in his massive direspect of the President!!!

Sorry, I find the McCain’s just plain toxic…by association it puts a little tarnish on my opinion of Affleck. Movie stars and people who are simply rich, are not generally people who garner my admiration.
When they’re taking the opportunity to bash President Obama, I wish that the person asking the question would also ask them what they’re doing to help President Obama achieve the goals that they’ve set for him.
Both idiots. And really teaming up with Cindy McCain because she’ll skip out to Africa with you (since she’s not running the country or doing any type of work). Never ever liked Affleck and I’m really disappointed in Damon (thought he was more intelligent) but I always knew he was arrogant as hell.
My opinion of Ben Affleck has just gone down the toilet – along with the Matt Damon thing. I don’t know what J-Lo was doing with him, and I don’t know what Jennifer Garner is doing there, either. I like both of them, and they seem like they’re too good for him. But of course, that’s said from a very long distance… 😉
Don’t worry. Like the McCain DADT fiasco, it will all implode right in their faces. Their nefarious motives and agendas will be exposed. If the MSM is trying to round up Hollywood to turn against the President they better think twice. Afleck and Damon do not comprise Hollywood. They are two attention seekers who need to promote themselves at the moment and it’s a shame that they have to resort to dragging a very busy and hardworking US President in their trifling mess to get some attention.
Look at the admiration for the President on Melinda Gates’ face.
Yes. She spoke so highly of him. Love it!
those kids went nuts when he walked in 😆 😆
Mrs Gates gave a great speech 😀
Thank you Bill and Melinda Gates for all that you do 😀
Wonderful pics, I love that top one especially, love.it. Thank you Chip 🙂
March is Education Month, another school that got it right. Excuse me, another Boston city public school that got it right.
Great stuff, Chip.. thanks so much!

Totally on the same page as you Sue!!!

Oh, that is so exciting. It is great to have first hand information. did you get to shake his hand? Or look him in the eye? Swoon.

Way to go Hger! Thank you for showing up and standing with our President.
Hey Chipsticks, how’s it going? Had a good work day, did you?
Hellooooooooooo VC! All’s good, it was a perfectly acceptable day! How are you doing?
Just great! Only realized near the end of the day that it was ‘my’ day. 😉 Hope you had good Women’s Day wishes!
Hey, every day is VC Day!! 😉

Now I am furious again. Why can’t they keep their traps shut. Spoiled actors who expect to get everything they want.
When they’re taking the opportunity to bash President Obama, I wish that the person asking the question would also ask them what they’re doing to help President Obama achieve the goals that they’ve set for him.
Amen!
