I held my nose and visited a site jammed with birthers tonight, just to see if they all now worship Mike Huckabee.

Thank you for wading in amongst the crazies – this really does make me feel better knowing that even the crazies can see through his nonsense. His mistake was a crime, in my opinion, and I was quite disheartened after reading the earlier post.
On another note, I was quite surprised at the tone of these comments. Far less evil than I expected. Not to say they are not capable of overt racism and evil, but my blood pressure stayed quite steady while reading their comments, which is not what I expected.
I was really surprised by the non-‘evil’ tone of a lot of the comments too, Theo. I have to say, there were quite a few that were predictably ugly, but they were in the minority. I think, though, there was just general anger that Huckabee had damaged their ’cause’ – which was rather sweet to read! But most of them hated Huckabee already … the irony being they viewed him as being too kind to the President. Oh boy.
What are they talking about, Kenya, Court, Birth Certificate, millions of dollars. How can these people be so dumb. We have free education in this country, we have google. How can they be so stupid and run for president.

I listened to the clip of the interchange that the Birthers are referring to and was dismayed by Huckabee’s willingness to curry favor by making things up. I was also repulsed by the words of the interviewer which Huckabee endorsed by his response and that has had little coverage. Never heard of that guy before but he is another hatemonger.
Steve Malzberg is a birther who has hosted numerous prominent birthers on his show and talks about the (non) issue constantly.
This whole thing, (including the further ‘mis-speak’ in the ‘he mis-spoke’ comment by Huckabee’s spokesperson) was deliberate and calculated.
Huckabee, the good, upright christian! Where do christians like Huckabee draw the line on playing loose with outright lies and destruction of another human being through slander?
If Huckabee, Palin and the lot of them are the definition of Christians, I want no part of christianity!
Huckabee (and his type) have nothing to do with Christianity. They may label themselves Christians, but they’re not. I wouldn’t abandon Christianity because of these liars. They will have their moment.

When Jerry Brown and Andrew Cuomo, the democratic governors of the 2 largest states in the country are no-shows at the annual governors meeting with the President, you really learn to not only dislike republicans but some hateful, envious, disrespectful democrats too.
To think that these 2 democrats exploited a huge swathe of President Obama’s supporters to win their governorships!
Jerry Brown isn’t looking to run again for anything so he is thumping his nose at the President, but Andrew Cuomo will in time regret his disrespect of President Obama ~

Did they give reasons for not going?
I just googled and found out that Jerry Brown’s spokesperson announced that the governor was “too busy balancing the state budget” and that Jerry would “rather rub shoulders with the Californian people”. How lame and hypocritical.
Turns out that Jerry also didn’t show up when PBO was in California last month to meet with the Silicon Valley tech leaders. He was also too busy! To think that the day PBO sent out requests through OFA asking for support for Jerry Brown, the response was so massive, Brown’s website crashed!
Andrew Cuomo is trying to curry favor with the NY faction of the destroy Obama movement. Cuomo is looking to run for President and is probably trying to like so many other short-sighted democrats, distance himself from this President. I think they will all find out the hard way that PBO was actually the man they always needed and should have stood by.
There will be lots of regrets on the part of these slimy democrats. Watch them all fall all over themselves in the future trying to show their connection to and “closeness” with President Obama.
I am going to have to stand up for Jerry on this one. It is neither lame or hypocritical. Brown supports Obama 100%, but knows his responsibility is to his state, which is dying.
Our state is BROKEN because we have government-by-initiative/proposition, in addition to having some dysfunctional repubs in the state legislature who are hell bent on destroying anything and anyone with a “D” attached to it.
67% of every FEDERAL dollar we pay in taxes, gets sent to OTHER STATES. Read that again, and try to wrap your head around what that really means (on top of everything else the recession has done to us) for the world’s 6th largest economy. We have just gone through almost a decade of a near-useless GOP governor, who broke our state even more by forgiving Enron the $9 BILLION – Read THAT again – NINE BILLION DOLLARS they stole from the people of California over a FAKE energy crisis. And Ahnold said, “nah, we don’t need that money.”
If Jerry went to this function, the GOP owned press would tear him apart and wonder who is paying for the Greyhound Bus ticket (that Jerry would buy with his own money no doubt) and scream, “HOW LONG WILL JERRY BE OFF THE JOB???? WHY SHOULD THE TAX PAYES PAY HIM FOR THIS TIME OFF???” And that worm Darrell Issa would immediately be gathering signatures to recall yet another Democratic Governor.
This calls for a double facepalm. They are giving some 3rd world politicians a run for their money with their spurting of evil untruths, greed and lack of empathy. The sad thing is unlike 3rd world electorates, these electorates have all the information and yet still believe this shyte.
I was really upset by this. At least I thought Rev Huckabee and I now say this loosely would not be so willing to climb on the birther band wagon. But now I think you can see what he is all about. He probably has been saying these things along.
