he’s a homophobe!

Jonathan Capehart (Washington Post): The White House is set to make news and history this afternoon when it announces the new social secretary. Jeremy Bernard, currently the chief of staff to the U.S. ambassador to France, will become the third person to hold the job in the Obama administration. But he will be the first man and the first openly gay person to be the first family’s and the executive mansion’s chief event planner and host.

….Full disclosure: Bernard and I are friends. He will bring a certain warmth and irreverence to the job that will make him a joy for his colleagues to work with. His knowledge of the Obamas and his intense attention to detail will ensure that their vision for the people’s house continues seamlessly. And he has a reverence for the presidency and the meaning of the White House that will make him an imaginative steward of their image.

The president and the first lady have made an excellent choice.

This is a BFD. This man will go down in history as the greatest civil rights leader in history. That my opinion. What a week and what a man! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. May God protect him and his family.

Our President follows through on his words with actions. This is a great time in history. There are so many challenges but he seems to hitting everything out of ballpark.

‘Sorry to disappoint you guys but this is just another bone to the left. Obama is just doing this to get reelected. It in no way disproves anything that has been said about his hatred of gays.’

that is a composite of the comments I’ve been seeing on this or anything else that Obama has done regarding the gay community. Its not that he’s keeping his promises (DADT) and its not that he’s NOT the homophobe they’ve been calling him. He’s only doing it for reelection.

They clearly have their heads up their arses! Impaired vision, in addition to being willfully ignorant.

If these are just bones, then they’re some really great bones. They want to throw the bones back and remain with nothing.

I was just scrolling down to say if the President has thrown a bone to the left it’s because the left is in need of a bone, when I noticed that my friend Theo – he of the often similar thoughts – has already covered that angle. 😉

If the google images of Mr. Bernard is him then this administration remains super gorgeous. No complaints from me. Congratulations Mr. Bernard.
