Looks phenomenal, wish I could have been there. I saw Don Cheadle and his wife.

What struck me the most, is that the play was written by a George Stevens, white man. I love that.

When I was a kid, Thurgood Marshall was a real American trailblazer, and I still think of him the same way today. I am so glad that Mr. Stevens made this movie about his life and work. IMHO, he and Ken Burns work to preserve American history in film for future generations.

I saw the play on Broadway. It was riveting. I learned so much about the man and about our country.

It’s amazing to tell my grandchildren (2) that I went to the same little elementary school that Thurgood Marshall attended, not at the same time. I would go to his family’s grocery store and I thought he was a movie star when I saw him. I was involved in the movement when I was a college student and when I got locked up I sent word for Mr. Marshall to use it for a test case. It is such an honor to see my childhood hero recognized.

Baltimore Native Thurgood Marshall was the first Black to serve on Supreme Court of the United States. The Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshal Airport is named in honor of his great legacy.
