I love Jamie fox but am wondering if he is too much in your face kind of a guy. Maybe am too sensitive but this is the president of the united states so try to lay back a little. Sorry I didn’t mean to spoil this great thread. Again I love Jamie for his support of PBO.

      What did he do?

Jamie Foxx and George Lopez are 2 of a kind. You do not invite them to a gig without knowing exactly what/who you are getting 🙂 Their humor is not for the faint of heart.

        What did he do?? 😀
        1. Jamie invited the president up on stage to dance, he told him he saw him on Helen dancing. He then went on to tease him that he did not get the dancing from his black side.
        2. He teased the vice president about his age.
        3. He messed with Halle Berry – said she was back from the other side.

In short, he was Jamie Foxx… with his irreverent humor.

I am sure the president was fully aware of what he was getting with Jamie. 🙂 I enjoyed the show – although I could not help thinking that Rushie Limppy will be all over it tomorrow.

No Me4obama, you are correct. I was on a live chat during the show, and everyone was saying the same thing. He, to me, is not a good stand up comedian. He does better on film.

I think Jamie was being Jamie…keeping it real. If Rush has a coronary over it……so be it.

We will probably never have the luxury of seeing President Obama completely let down his guard….at least not while in office.

Oh that was just fun 🙂 I don’t know all the youngins that were singing but I am impressed. Loved Ms. Jordan
Sparks, first time I’ve heard of her.. beautiful and wonderful voice. And Stevie, He just stays good.. although he got a grip on the President at the end there… I’m thinking he was saying: “get us out of Afghanistan Mr. President”… joking.. I have no idea. And the blond woman, who’s name I didn’t catch.. what a voice on her.. excellent night.

Loved it!!! Stevie never gets old – you can see the First Couple still love him as do I ! Smoky will always be Smoky – Smooth – Quiet Storm. John Legend and Seal were looking real good. I thought the young singers were pretty good especially the young blonde girl but MS Martha Reeves showed up and showed out at the end – always a DIVA !!!
Sasha was cute as ever and Mrs. Robinson is just classy. Mrs Michelle looked so good – I know Rush just wishes he could get close to her. I thought Jamie was pretty funny – took a lot of risk! Overall just a great performance! I enjoyed every minute – even the do overs (LOL)

Definitely one of the best of Music Series and a lot of fun. Noticed Malia was missing, I wonder if she was sick or had other plans.

Was wondering the same thing. She didn’t even make the ski trip with FLOTUS and Sasha.

      Fully enjoyed this.

Malia definitely went on the ski trip, there just wasn’t Amy pics of her. Every article I read mentioned she was there.

I bet it will be the first question for Jay Carney tomorrow with the press where was Malia last night? If so investigative chief officer Chipsticks will find out for us. Am just wondering and I hope she is OK.

Thank you Chipsticks to return home to find the wonderful videos and photos of the Motown Tribute. I will watch the entire show when it comes on PBS next month. My Grandson laughs at me when I play my music and dance. I had to get an Ipod but I still dance to it, such wonderful memories.

I really enjoyed the show last night. I personally thought that Jamie Foxx was hilarious!!! This is not the first time Jamie Foxx has hosted an event for the President. PBO knows who he is and the kind of comedy Jamie does. So Jamies humor is prolly not a shock to PBO.
And as for the fat slob known as Rush. Who gives one tenth if a damn what he thinks? Too many folks worry about what he’ll say about PBO. I doubt PBO is busy checking for that dope fiend. The evening was a good night and I’m sure a good time was had by all. PBO and FLOTUS sure looked like they enjoyed it. The President was getting his black on!!!!!

Jamie was TOO FUNNY! I think PBO was cool with his jokes and believe me he knew what he was getting when they booked him. Jamie did an impression of him at the Inauguration concert that was hilarious. Jamie’s always joking about the Pres and he keeps showing back up at events, so there can’t be any ill feelings. I LMAO when he talked about PBO dancing and watched it like 4 times. I can’t wait to see the entire thing.

I almost did not watch the clips because of some of the comments but I wanted to see the First lady outfit. OMG, I laughed so hard. You all should’ve warned me I was at work.

I checked into ABCNews.com to watch their video and saw it titled, “Motown Music Crashes the White House.” Now why in the world would they suggest that Barry Gordy et al came to an event in the White House uninvited?? And by extension, are they suggesting that Pres O isn’t supposed to be at the WH? Would they have title an event “Julliard String Quartet Crashes the White House?” I may be over-reacting and it may have been an attempt to be funny or something…I don’t know but it’s ignorant at the very least, and subtle if worse. They got a nice little letter from me!
