He is the same today as he was in 1993, always wanting to make the world a better place!

The phrase, “if at a future date I can make a difference by entering the political arena” just gave me chills. What a treasure, thanks for sharing this, I had never seen it. This is so great, you are the best, Chipsticks.

Unbelievable, amazing, stunning. At 23 years olds I was thinking of ways how to party more yet this man was thinking of ways to helpi others. Shame on me. Thanks for sharing.

Nice. Fascinating. Amazing. I, too, have never seen this before. How does one get the complete DVD?

    That’s a great video.

I always find it amusing when detractors say ‘he came out of nowhere’.

He ‘came out of doing ‘public sector’ work at a young age, when he was what most people would call ‘over qualified’, as was indicated by one of the people interviewed.

It seems clear that whoever was interviewing him way back then *knew* he was something special, otherwise, why would he be later answering a question about a possible future in politics?

This man knows who he is and never waivers from it. Those who try to minimize his effectiveness are in denial, otherwise they would not be so obsessed with trying to tear him down. Listening to him in 1993 is like hearing him today…..consistency, and as President himself says, persistent. I pray continually that he have no major setbacks because he is fighting the good fight and we simply NEED him. Don’t even want to imagine the presidency without him. Four more years, and maybe after then I will be calm enough to accept whatever else comes our way.

He is who he is. True to his core, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was the same way as a young child.

There was a spirited debate on BWD 2 days ago someone said that PBO doesn’t care about inner-city people blah blah blah that he just hands out turkeys or something like that. I wish she comes here and watches this video she will discover that this man has been doing most things we want him to now before we even knew about him. Please God protect my president.

Indeed – my blood pressure went up a bit over that whole “debate” the other day on BWD. President Obama is the same man he’s always been, and if he wasn’t interested in making life better for those who need some help, he wouldn’t be doing the job of President. He’d be captain of some bank or business, raking in millions. One of the people on the campaign mentioned that he could see the President doing almost any job, CEO of anything, and he’d be entirely competent at anything he tried. There’s a reason why he’s doing a thankless job with all his heart and soul. He really does want to leave the world better for his children, and all children.

‘…see the President doing almost any job, CEO of anything, and he’d be entirely competent at anything he tried.’

As we would say in the good old days ‘Bite your tongue, Theo!’ Reading that, a quick picture flashed before my eyes of a millionaire CEO sitting behind the president’s face, behind a desk and looking quite at ease. I AM SO GLAD HE DID NOT CHOOSE THAT ROUTE! I do not want to imagine where we would be right now in 2011, if he had not chosen to go into politics. I do not believe I’m exaggerating when I say that I cannot see ANYONE out in the political arena right now who could be doing a quarter of the job he’s doing, with these results. While I like Biden, I just don’t see him having a similar impact, and while I am willing to concede that HRC has ‘grown’, and despite her previous knowledge of the world players, I still do not believe she has that certain something that would make a great leader. Look at the division her campaign elicited. In fact, I think both of these individuals, and a few others, have grown in stature as much as they have BECAUSE of the President’s leadership style AND his vision. He seems able to see, and knows how to bring out, the best in people and that has got to be a gift!

President Obama, you have my undying respect! May your vision for the world be realized, and may your suppport grow daily!

You are so right – especially about how he’s made the others even better because of his interacton, respect and trust in them. Tongue bitten, as instructed! 🙂

I feel like such a broken record, once again saying President Obama is a remarkable human being. History will bear that out…..but the wise will recognize it now, and do all possible to assist him and assure his position of leadership.

I finally got around to listening to “Dreams from My Father” on tape. Our president is such a talented writer. You can just tell from his life experience that he is a person of destiny. God has had his hands on President Obama’s life from the beginning. He (God) thinks all of His creations are special, but He chooses some of us for special tasks. President Obama is one of those people chosen for a special task. God bless our country, this good man and his beautiful family.

PS: Thank you, Chipsticks, for this wonderful website. It is really appreciated. Keep up the good work.
