Thank goodness for Hope! It looks like the movie, “The Day After Tomorrow”, is taking place in our southern heartland right now. Arkansas with 20 inches of snow? 18 below zero?

Pretty impressive. I understand from my kids that the cause of that newly birthed ice age in the movie was ignoring the signs and portents of climate change. But the message, even with a major-motion-picture blizzard season, doesn’t seem to have sunk in.

Also, I read in the Israeli press that Mubarak is throwing in the towel tonight. The military will have a leading role in the reorganization of the government.

He just gave a speech, and has no intention of stepping aside. He wants to “oversee” the transition to elections in September. The people are very angry.

Just read it — one protester’s comment, ” … this guy just doesn’t want to leave in peace.”

It’s so true. Even the VP came on and seemed to be calling for the violent folks to come out and “defend Egypt’s stability”. I am so worried for these Egyptians tomorrow – the protest is expected to be the largest yet. The regime seems to be saying they won’t go without a fight.

Donald Trump is a fool who has repeatedly declared bankrupt so that he doesn’t have to pay the consequences of his own actions – and then he leaves all his creditors in the lurch. Talk about socialism… I wouldn’t lose a second of sleep over anything that imbecile has to say.

We need to keep in the forefront of our minds the fact that PBO is the real thing, and his detractors have to make personal attacks on him because they know they couldn’t have done in less than 2 years the things that he did to save our economy and get the U.S. economy on the path to recovery. As Theo67 points out, Trump has shirked his responsibilities by declaring bankruptcy more than once, leaving his creditors and investors in the ditch. This is hardly the way to endear voters or anyone else to your method of handling serious problems and issues. Talk is cheap, getting difficult things done requires a lot of hard work and the ability to leave the boasting and showboating out of the process. GWB was a pro at boasting and showboating, but he was lousy at governing effectively. We also know that many republican politicians and wannabees think that government can be run like a business, and we know that oftentimes, what works in the business world won’t work in government. Please don’t waste your time or sleep worried about what someone like Trump has to say about PBO. PBO has all of their numbers. He knows who and what they are, and he knows that they don’t have the best interests of Americans at heart.

Well put Majii. Trump is the consummate attention whore. Petty, phony, small-minded, juvenile, opportunistic and shallow.

He was at CPAC today making a complete ass of himself along with the whole lot of the others there. Oh and guess who was front and center at CPAC cheering on Trump and the other republican losers?
Why, Dan Choi of course! This was the man presented as a hero by “progressives” in their fight against President Obama.

I had long suspected that Choi was a Republican. He refused to criticize the Republicans and made everything about President Obama. When Cris Matthews tried to point that out, Choi became enraged and incoherent. I had even hinted so on DKOS that he was a Republican plant and I was lambasted for it. He let it slip recently that he was approached to run for senate by the Libertarian Party. Do you notice that Rachel Maddow has not had him on her show for a long time?

Choi’s coming out was suspiciously timed with the formation of a group known as “Goproud” an offshoot from the Log Cabin Republicans. That same group ran negative ads against Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi in the midterms, while claiming to be pro-DADT repeal and other LGBT rights. The Log Cabin Republicans, while being hailed as heros by certain bloggers on DKOS, were trying to defeat Dem Rep Patrick Murphy (DADT repeal advocate) in support of his anti-LGBT opponent in the Republican Party.

Choi’s agenda was to erode lgbt support for President Obama. He went on CNN declaring that he would not vote for President Obama in 2012 (as if he ever voted for him). He realized he was on the losing side of the battle and almost lost his mind towards the end. A lot of people from the lgbt community were not buying his BS. Only the anti-Obama fauxgressives on DK and HuffnPuff saw him as their “hero.”

America is more than a business.

So sick of narrow minded Republican perspectives. I am not materially inclined….I would never succeed in business without the help of an able and trusted partner.. Even so, what is their to be impressed by with Trump’s track record of bankruptcies? I’ld be more impressed if he would do something with that hot mess passing for hair on his head. Trump for President…..that’s a narcissist’s joke.
