Chipsticks, I don’t know where you find these but they are wonderful. I love the photo of the first lady in the white blouse with the big bow. So elegant. Flaunt it, FLOUTUS!!!
I love this, and I love calypso, and I love Michelle Obama! I would like the lyrics to Francine’s song, though, I had trouble following it. After hearing it many, many times, I’ll probably get better at it. And I probably WILL memorize it.
I’m actually looking forward to the coming campaign — thanks so much DrunkenIrishman for the banner! I’ll love the excitement, having no doubt that our president will win in a landslide. I’ll enjoy especially this type of music, as well as that from the Hispanics! What a wonderful, colorful country we live in now. I feel so lucky to have lived long enough to experience this marvelous Change.
Chipsticks, how can I italicize words in my comments? The notes along the bottom here are so small I can’t figure them out, even with my magnifying glass, dumbo as I am.
Joan, you are no Dumbo! Sometimes it seems to me that a degree in rocket science is required to figure how to use italics, bold etc in WordPress comments. For some reason, I’m provided with ‘B’ and ‘I’ buttons, in the ‘Admin’ section of the blog, that I just have to click for bold and italics, I have no idea why everyone else can’t have them too. Any WordPress experts out there, can I change the settings some way so that everyone gets the buttons?? 😳
Until then, this is all I can find:
So, just wrap those tags around the word(s) you want in italics. Let me know if it works!
🙂 🙂 🙂 I totally, totally LOVED this! All this happiness I’ve encountered since signing on today is going a long way to alleviate the nagging right side headache that has been dodging me all morning. ‘You are going brave, Obamas. Keep it up! We really and truly love you!’ O’Reilly doesn’t realize this because he’s in his own ‘news’ cocoon, but the world loves you. Pity we can’t do a global poll to show him, but then again he’s not really interested in checking his ‘facts’.
Let’s ‘go brave’ again for 2012, Prez O’s supporters!
The singer sang the truth. Loved dancing here in my chair. Thanks for posting. Suggestion: Why don’t we make this site’s new slogan for the 2012 campaign? Very short, catchy, yet forceful.
She sang the TRUTH! My friend called me after she got this link via e-mail and she was like this song says it all! The world is watching America, and they see what you are doing to the Obamas!
We West Indians love you!! So true. As a proud Black Caribbean Woman, I say “Go Brave Michelle” You are an inspiration.
GO BRAVE.
Absolutely right Mariele. Our president loves his lady, so much.

Oh My what a tribute. Thanks Sorella and Chipsticks.
I feel so proud that you are featuring a fellow trini.
It’s a great tune. Love it! GO BRAVE OBAMAS!
Go Brave First Family – Live Long and Live Strong! Wonderful tribute!
One note of clarification, this is not a soca song but rather calypso. I am from Trinidad, and soca is much faster than this, please change. thanks
Thanks for the correction Priscilla, this link – http://guyaneseonline.wordpress.com/2011/02/02/singing-francine-go-brave/ – describes it as a soca song, and I was in no position to argue!
I liked that song. Some of those photos I had never seen.
Loved it. What a nice tribute. Go Brave, Michelle, Go Brave, Barack. I love the calyso beats. Reminds me of my childhood in Africa.

Hi Perry. What part of Trinidad are you from?

Awesome! I danced to this catchy number, but the lyrics make it even more amazing! Go brave our Michelle, it is your time to shine!
That was just awesome!! It made my heart sing, and my eyes weep! Loved it more than I can say. Many Thanks
