Thank you PBO for moving our country forward.
Morning Family. Morning Chip.
Got a hold of a good wireless signal from my neighborhood (won’t have internet service installed until Tuesday (I hope!)), so I’m stopping in to tell you all that I’m doing ok – apart from having a really bad cold that my new roommate gave to me (not so nice housewarming gift :() – and happy to be in my new apt with my sweet Hungarian roommate. 🙂 I still have to move in the bulk of my stuff, which is in storage, but I did move my bed and a few household items in and am beginning to settle in and get to know the neighborhood.
I had sent Chip a couple updates, and I’m not sure if she’d shared with you, but if not here are some pics of my new place http://twitpic.com/photos/marabout40 It’s really great.
I lucked out. But it wasn’t just luck. I couldn’t have done any of this without the help, love and support of this community. As I told one of our TOD family members recently, it seems Barack Obama brings out the best in people, and the best people support him and each other.
I’m thankful for him, and thankful for you guys. My heart is full of gratitude and love.
I cannot wait to be back on my feet financially, emotionally, physically so I can begin to pay it forward.
A big virtual hug to all of you.
Happy to hear form you Hachikō! Good luck!! I am sure (in my best Bob Marley voice) “…everything’s gonna be alright!”.
🙂 Yes it is!
Excellent news – keep on keeping on!
Thanks, Theo. 🙂
Hello Chipsticks, Family, and Hachiko!
So glad to see this update and know you are making your way in a new home. I have to agree with you that Prez O brings out the best in people. Your mention of paying it forward remind me of a movie of the same name which I enjoyed years ago. If I remember correctly it was a teenager trying to pay it forward then. You haven’t mentioned it, so I assume you are still job hunting, and I continue to wish that you will soon succeed in your search. Have a great weekend!
Hi VC! Thank you so much. Yes, I’m still job hunting. Matter of fact, what I could do well with right now is some one to help me overhaul my resume. If anyone out there could help with that, please contact me (click on my avatar for email address).
Yes, the move ‘Pay it Forward’ was released in 2000 and starred Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunt and Haley Joel Osmet (also from ‘Forest Gump,’ ‘Sixth Sense,’ ‘A.I.,’ et al) He (Haley’s character) was a little boy intent on finding some way to make his mom’s life easier and happier and ended up losing his life to senseless violence.
Paying it forward is really just a modern day take on the biblical teaching “do unto others as you would have them do on to you.” Or as our great humanitarian of a President would put it, “I am my brother’s keeper.” 🙂
Be well!
I sent you an email, Hachiko – about your resume.
Thanks, Theo. I did reply. 🙂
i think Obama will be the greatest man ever in history even after he has left office
Agree wholeheartedly.
Good luck girl. I’m sure there are many on this blog who could give your resume a going-over, but if you’re lacking an editor, I’ll be glad to help if you want to email a copy to me.
Incidentally, you are the cutest little thing!
Hi Joan. Thanks so much for the offer. Please email me and I will reply back with my resume attached.
Thank you!
Beautiful pictures! You seem off to a good re-start. Continued good fortune to you, Marabout/Hachiko.
Thank you, A.L.! I am off to a good start, and lucky for it. 🙂
We are all pulling for you and Iam sure you will find work pretty soon because good things come to nice people. Sending my prayers your way so you get a good job soon. Nice pics and handsome son. You must be a proud mom.
Hi Asher. Indeed, I am the proudest mom. He really is such a wonderful boy. Funny, fun, outgoing, smart, determined, loves his mama. 🙂
Thank you for your continued prayers and well wishes.
And spectacularly handsome too! 🙂
Well that goes without saying, my dear Chip! 😉 LOL
Much success to you Hachiko. Re-starts are exciting, and really open your mind to greater possibilities than we sometimes realize. Like a new lease on life.
Thank you, EDP. You’re right about new starts, and I aim to make the best of mine. 🙂
Hach, I was thinking the same re: your son. Such a handsome young man…and obviously talented. But then, look at his Mom. Love how you said “he loves his Mom.” Wish you all the best Hach–or should I say trooper. You inspire gurl!
Thank you, GeeGee. 🙂
