be nice, say hello to our visting tea partier

Yep, we had another Tea Partier visit tonight.

He left a very intelligent comment …. kidding: he advised us all to listen more carefully to Glenn Beck, only then will we learn the, um, truth. I can’t remember the precise details, I clicked the ‘trash’ button way too quickly, but I think the gist of it was that President Obama is conspiring with three-eyed men from Mars and tribesmen from that well known African village of South America to overthrow the democratically elected leader …. 😐 …. of “Egpyt”.

Night everyone 😆

PS Apologies for bringing you the thoughts of the former half term Governor of Alaska on Egypt, but, in fairness, she has provided an insight to the situation that is quite, quite unique:

“….nobody yet has, nobody yet has explained to the American public what they know, and surely they know more than the rest of us know who it is who will be taking the place of Mubarak and um, no, not, not real um enthused about what it is that that’s being done on a national level and from dc in regards to understanding all the situation there in Egypt.”

It’s no wonder, though, that the half-termer is so concerned – as a Fox ‘News’ viewer she thinks “Egpyt” borders Iran:

Um, Fox? Try this one:

i always knew Beck was a certified loon, but when Jon Stewart showed the clip where that baboon was stroking a bunny rabbit one minute and holding a chainsaw the next *I had to throw my hands up*….the point of those two seemingly opposite items in one segment, there was none, just another day in uBECKistan.

This is just the funniest thread ever! The disbelieving tone of the replies ….. surely she didn’t say something THAT stupid?!?! …. literally has me weepin’ laughing 😆

Oh yeah, she IS that moronic. I don’t mean to freak everyone out, but seriously: can you imagine this creature being in the Oval Office at such a serious time in world affairs? That 30%+ of the population want her to be President …. ah, I’m going to bed. Night everyone. Whoever is up there, thank you for President Obama.

LMAO. Just when you think she couldn’t POSSIBLY say anything dumber…she proves you wrong. If the stakes were not so high, I would totally want her to be my president. Like, if they said the world would end in 86 days, I would campaign, collect signatures, and donate money to her. Hell, If we’re all gonna die……. might as well enjoy the ride:)

I don’t click on anything Palin but this caught my eye because I thought for a second is chipsticks auditioning for SNL or punking us. Because I thought no way she can say that and boom she topped herself. This woman WILl NEVER BE PRESIDENT and what is that CRAP about Reagan. I do feel sorry for Reagan though for being used in such a horrible way.

OMG!! How long can she keep up her facade? The most puzzling part is why so many people fall for her ignorance and hypocrisy. I never cease to be amazed. It is laughable and sad. And the map, is that for real?? I can only shake my head. Is this part of the “fair and balanced”. It is funny; the map represents the garbage that comes from Fox. Great catch, Chipsticks! How in the world do you find this stuff?

And yet the Media continues to give her a platform without challenge. Our MSM is more than a joke, they are hazardous to the health of our Democracy. Man they yank my chain.

      Yes, BF,
The map was the same one Fox used on national teevee, and the Foxbots wonder why we think Fox is not a news organization. LOL

That map cannot be real. Chip used her graphic artist skills to doctor that one. No way Fox, much as we despise it, could have put that up as a credible map of the middle east. No way…right? Right guys?

Palin and her daughter are looking into trademarking their names. That tells us pretty much all we need to know about her priority project to cash in on the ignorant amongst us. She’s been here in California this weekend, spouting this nonsense. That map is the clearest indication of the level of credibility we should bestow on Fox and their followers.

I wish somebody would explain the whole Tea Party thing to me in a way I could understand. Aren’t the Tea Partiers really at bottom mostly concerned about their own economic security – which has been eroding for all us but the very rich since Reagan? It’s progressives who try to sustain the working class and enlarge the middle class. Wouldn’t that sort of lead to someone who’s concerned about their economic security being a progressive? Aren’t most of the older Tea Partiers dependent on Social Security and Medicare? Why aren’t they Democrats? I just don’t understand what motivates them.

Rabid racism masquerading as concern for any number of “Obama policies “they pretend to be against.

Indeed – they don’t call it the “Lost Decade” for nothing. The Tea Party was non-existent while the deficit was being run up. They were silent when their liberties were actually being jeopardized by the Bush Administration. They were silent while two wars were being started, one of them illegal, the other insufficiently supplied. If they were legitimate, they would have made an appearance BEFORE their taxes were lowered, laws were being enforced, a plan to lower the deficit was being hatched and the wars were being brought to responsible ends. They wouldn’t be raging in the streets against their best hope for an economically stable future, simply because he is different from them. The Tea Party is not legitimate.

All too true. But Molly Ivins, if I am recalling correctly and may she rest in peace, used to say “those people are our people.” Those people meaning the vulnerable and our people meaning progressives. The Tea Party fueled by the Koch brothers’ money breathed new life into a moribund Republican party. What are those of us who want this administration to succeed going to do about it? Can we do anything? What would our president – who so often seems to be trying to call us to our better natures – want us to do about it? I think we need to be better organized, but better organized around what? Irrationality just flummoxes me.
