We are with them for the long haul.
In a age of short attention spans some people must be in our thoughts and prayers.
Perhaps the most moving and important words spoken at this event.
I hope and pray that all who listened to Commander Kelly will take his words to heart, activating that message in thoughts, words and deeds. We can and must be better.
Sending light and love to Gabrielle, Commander Kelly and all who surround and support them throughout this nation, and beyond.
I hate being a party pooper, but I really, really do not understand why Kelly has decided to take command of the shuttle to the space station. He has done it before, and from what I have read, it is not unusual for someone facing family problems to stay at home. YOu need to have your mind totally focused on your mission.
The problem for me is that he moved Gabby to Texas, away from her family and friends to be near her, and now he is going away for several months. Cripes.
I do love the words of Gabby’s rabbi, a prayer I will memorize and make it my own. I seldom attend Episcopal services anymore, it’s just too hard to get into town, but I keep the 1929 version of the Anglican Book of Common Prayer at my bedside because the simple beauty of the language is so soothing.
