🙂 I can’t remember seeing anyone greet the President without a smile (apart from the opposition leaders)! I wonder if he sleeps deeply once he gets to bed?
I would think so, VC prezOfan2, since he seems to be the type of person who goes out of his way to make sure that he never willingly offends others. The ones I wonder about sleeping peacefully at night are the republicans who willingly do harm to others without a second thought. It would seem that there would be some point at which their conscience would eat them alive, and what better time for that to happen than when they are besieged by “monsters” as they sleep? At least I hope so! LOL
ONE WONDERS HOW HE SLEEPS WITH ALL THE BURDENS HE HAS. THEN AGAIN…MICHELLE AND THE GIRLS KEEP HIM BALANCED. THANK GOD…THE PRESIDENT NEEDS SOME PERKS OUT OF THIS JOB. IT’S A LONELY ONE INDEED. HE’S THE BEST AND OH HOW HE LOVES TO BE WITH PEOPLE!
I wasn’t thinking about sleep from the point of view of guilty conscience, but rather from the burdens he carries. At night my mind is forever churning with plans and solutions even though my conscience is clear. At work a standard joke for me was that I got my best ideas at night, and I seriously did, coming in with suggestions the next day. This President is always on the go throughout the day, crises beset him at every turn, and everyone expects him to be eternally upbeat. His predecessor proudly stated that he went to bed early each night; I just wondered if the President could wind down sufficiently to get some good rest each night.
I was speaking from a different perspective, VCpresOfan2. Sorry, I didn’t catch your intent. Yes, he does keep very busy. That may be why he exercises every day. I know exercise helps me sleep more soundly at night. Do you think he has the ability to compartmentalize his thoughts and put some on the back burner when he goes to bed? I wish I could do this, but I tend to take issues to bed with me which end up disrupting my sleep.
No prob. 🙂
I’m hoping he has the ability, Majii, otherwise this unrelenting job we’ve given him will take a huge toll on him. In a couple of those pictures above he is laughing but he does seem fatigued.
