a breakfast kiss

President Obama gets a kiss from first lady Michelle Obama after he spoke at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, Feb. 3

“….a second recurring theme in my prayers is a prayer for humility. Now, God answered this prayer for me early on by having me marry Michelle. Because whether it’s reminding me of a chore undone, or questioning the wisdom of watching my third football game in a row on Sunday, she keeps me humble.”

Some may not like the group that sponsors the prayer breakfast, I know I have a problem with them. I really think the President must represent and show up for this. His presents models exactly what a faithful man he is day in and day out. He not only talks the talk but he walks the walk. They know this and try to place doubt in our minds about it but it just does not work. Live your faith everyday and in every way and it will please you and the Father. Thank you God for President Barack Obama.

President Obama is a unique human being. He tries so hard not to be judgemental or hate. I think he did a fabulous job. His humanity was felt and his words soared. Good job Mr. President.

You seem to be a generous man Fred. Obama is very Christian. Not only in affiliation but in his belief of delivery good while on Earth.

I am not religious either, but I completely understand the importance of his faith to him. His faith and his family
      are his safe harbor.

Dorothy, I had a very poor gut reaction to this event. But it did not have to do with our President, who clearly demonstrates through his words and actions he is a man guided by his faith. My problem had more to do with my own judgemental state of mind, and people that I feel to be hypocritical and fail to demonstrate through action the conviction of their professed beliefs. I am not sure who I was more disgusted with them or me. I constantly have to remind myself I can’t change the world but I can control how I show up and interact with the world. I’ll keep working at being better, President Obama and Michelle are such wonderful role models, I don’t have to look very far for guidance.

Oh Sue, I have many faults. One of the biggest has become my inability to cope with the meanness of so many on the left, right and the media. Calling him names. Suggesting he is not what he should be. He never does anything right. I admit, I feel hatred for these people who would belittle or lie about Barack Obama. I have this terrible sense of feeling I need to protect him.

In watching him, it makes me want to be a better person. I have to admit, when I am ranting and raving against something someone did or said, I start feeling negative and and become emotional depressed. I think he may teach me to be a better human being.

He is not just a role model for youngster. I think he is a role model for millions of us.

I have’nt seen or read the speech but if he talked about Malia’s first dance, boys and a skirt problem i better find it sounds funny. My 6 yr old says he will marry Sasha all the time 🙂 I guess he’s into older women hahahahaha
I showed him the clip of the President talking about sending drones to boys houses and he very confidenty said the Prez was too nice to do that.

Children are so perceptive…..energetically and visually. Sly, sounds like your “little man” is pretty wise already, and certainly demonstrating good taste in women. Keep encouraging him to aim high.

yes she is,I harass him constatly…She’s probably gonna go to Havard or Yale so if he wants to meet her he better work hard and get into a good sch,he better make sure his manners are on point coz girls like well behaved guys,he better not be a mama’s boy coz nothing is as gross as a grown man chasing his mom around etc etc
