    My daughter lives in downstate Il. & they got 3″ of sleet and 2″ of snow. She worked at home M & Tu….Haven’t heard today. I looked at our home paper & the headline was
    ENOUGH ALREADY! They’ve had a rough winter this year. A lot of snow & icestorms which usually only happen lightly in my old hometown. Chicago did sound like a mess. The prez did all these things, plus met with McCain today to..”talk.” That would have been an interesting conversation.

      I am very curious as to how the meeting between our President and Senator McCain went. If only to be a fly on that office wall.

      This little scenario ran through my head earlier today;

      President Obama……Hello John, come in.

      McCain……..You can call me Senator McCain.

      President Obama…And you Senator McCain can call me President Obama.

      Strange where an idle mind will sometimes go. I have only the most base respect for John McCain (he is a human after all), I do not hold him in high esteem as a leader. Angry, nasty man IMO, although in fairness he may be suffering from dementia.

        I share your view of McCain, Sue – I used to have a tiny bit of respect for him, and his OpEd on the President after the Tucson speech was gracious, but….. he’s just a bitter two-faced hyopcrite. 😆 at your “you can call me President Obama” line!

    I know he is so overworked but I wouldn’t want anyone else in his place. His cabanet is a well oiled machine. He covered every possible option before he spoke publically. I am also going to Light a candle to surround President Obama and the people of Egypt in Light at “gratefulness.org” under “Light a Candle” and then find “Obama” or “PBO” Both sites are for him. I’m not sure what is going to happen but I heard on the news that Friday will be an important one. They had some Egypt minister on and he said that the protesters were not even Egyptian (Yeh, Right} and the ones who came into the region last night on camels are the real Egyptions who back the president 100% (I think they are undercover black ops) It was also mentioned that this will probably have a dominoes effect on other countrys and in a year the Arab landscape will be completely different.
