A Twitter message today from Mark Kelly about his wife, Rep. Gabrielle Giffords – there are no reports yet on the exact nature of the progress, but sounds good 😉
whatever it is Mr Kelly;I continue to pray for the FULL recovery of your wife.I know times are tough for she and you and I pray for you as well.Hang in there both.
We just heard that the Health Care Repeal bill was defeated. WOO HOO … I bet Gabby is smiling on that one. I hope she is on her feet soon and speaking out in support of the bill.
I did not know. Thank goodness. Of course the President could still veto it, butI am glad that they did not put him in that position. They still have ownership apparently.
What concerns me most about that vote was the numbers — 51 to 47. It looks like two Republican senators either abstained or were absent. I haven’t been able so far to find out who those two Republicans were.
More importantly, we’ve got to work hard to increase the democratic majority in the Senate. The House, too, of course. But somehow I feel that getting back the Democratic majority in the House will be easier.
Thanks for this wonderful post. I had just said to myself the other day,
it’s a shame that Rep. Giffords has not been mentioned on the news channels
any this week, and not much in the pass 2 weeks. I think about her and pray for her often.
I’m going to follow her husband on twitter to keep up with her recovery.
Gabby keep trying. You have America behind up. Prayers for strength of your muscles, mind and spirit.
The day if coming when Commander Kelly and NASA will have to decide whether he will command the final space shuttle Endeavour on a two-week mission in April to deliver a multi-million-dollar physics experiment to the International Space Station. He was suppose to meet with his twin brother who is currently stationed at the Space Station.
I saw a pic of him and his brother on the NASA site last year, and I had no idea that he was married to Congresswoman Giffords. From what I’ve seen since she was shot, he is a very devoted husband. I love how he loves her–reminds me of PBO and our first lady.

Anybody have the roll call?
It looks like Lieberman and Warner missed the vote, so the democratic majority isn’t as bad as I thought.
But it’s still not good.
I’d better find out who’s senatorial campaign I should donate to. Utah’s hopeless. Democrats in Utah are an endangered species.
Eek! it “whose.” Sorry.
