return to charlotte

MSNBC: The Democratic National Committee today announced the selection of Charlotte, NC, as the site of the party’s 2012 convention, a clear sign that Democrats will once again target the Tar Heel State in the upcoming presidential contest. It will be the first presidential-nominating convention to ever take place in North Carolina.

Memories….

Charlotte, North Carolina, November, 2008

    This is one excited, happy, proud Democrat!!! I live in the Charlotte area and am very active with OFA. Soo, just perhaps I will get to be in the same room with my president! Not to mention that Charlotte has a lot to offer the convention. WOW!

    Those 3:23 are why I find this man so profoundly endearing. He knows what matters.

    Congratulations Charlotte! And BIGFan I hope you get your moment…face to face time with our President. Chipsticks, I keep praying for your day as well.

    Congs to Charlotte. God, I remember that day coz I made it a point to watch every campaign speech on c-span and would end up going to sleep at 4am and had to be up for school, but I had to listen to my candidate. I was so nervous when the campaigning came to an end and then had to wait for the BIG day. Wow, now the circle begins again for 2012, but still I will work hard for my Prez. to the best of my ability. Charlotte, here we come.
