Collegekay: “When I met him last Feb., 2010, I was holding to his hand not letting go — SS told me to let go (but he was still holding to me. I was melting)”
Sigh! What a memory! I am so far away I can only dream as I look on jealously. 😦 ….Actually, it’s just as well, because the way my heart reacts when he is ‘in the room’ I’m not sure it could withstand an actual meeting.
I for sure wouldnt let go and the SS would have a problem on their hands and ofcos I would brag to everyone I came in contact with. God, how I long for that day! Guess, I have to make it a point to attend those campaign rallies.
I always thought I was too cool to loose it. I went to hear David Plouffe discuss his book in Baltimore. One of our OFA posters had been trying to get some info to adm. and I volunteered to take it to book review. The line for questions formed early and was so long they closed it. While walking down the hall to the book signing Mr. Plouffe was behind me and I saw my chance to complete my mission. I heard myself talking but I didn’t know where the words were coming from, truly out of body experience. I just kept looking at his eyes to make sure he didn’t think I was a crazy lady, he smiled and was really impressed that someone had really done so much work to help with the 2010 election.
I know for certain that if I am ever so lucky to meet the President and/or the First Lady I will truly pass out.
The first time I saw PBO and we shook hands, someone shouted out to him to get his attention and he continued to hold my hand while he was talking to that person about someone who was supposed to be a mutual friend. All I can say is he has very warm hands!!
Never in my life have I thought I would be reduced to a “hot mess” given the opportunity to meet someone famous. I am not particularily swayed by celebrity or renown. President Obama, and if I’m honest George Clooney, I guarantee would bring out the fool in me. President Obama because I think he is one of the finest human beings alive, and George Clooney, well he’s pretty damn special too.

Yes! Def go to rallies. I think now that campaign 2012 is brewing, there will be opportunities to see him. This was at a DNC Fundraiser in D.C.
I MUST SAY…IF I EVER MET THE PRESIDENT OR THE FIRST LADY…I’D PROBABLY PASS OUT FROM EXCITEMENT AND MISS THE ENTIRE EVENT!…:))))))

OMG!!!!
I was so going to pass out.

That’s exactly what happened to me. The lady was arguing with him about clean energy and coal. His hands are soft 🙂
He is incredibly magnetic, any way you slice it!
Sigh!
