So awesome. I just saw this on BWD. I want him and other people to see that there are plenty of people who support and love him and what he’s doing for the country.

He needs to come to Pembroke Pines, Fl, Broward County. I’ll show him some serious love. ;p

It’s no wonder that many republicans call our president a “rock star.” I never really got what they were saying until I watched this video. I doubt if PBO views himself as a “rock star” because I don’t believe Sasha and Malia would let him get away with it!

I’ve seen him twice (church service, graduation) and the people on those occasions were just as excited and in awe as these folks were and I of course felt the same. He is amazing and so easy to love. He just makes you smile with his big smile. Love this POTUS!

Ok I’ve lost count as to how many times I’ve now watched this….such a delight. Aside from our President’s gorgeous smile the other thing that always stands out to me is his wedding ring…..the image of his left hand is iconic to me.

  14. January 29, 2011 at 11:27 am

Funny! I know I would do the exact same! I am so hoping St. Louis win for the next Democratic Convention.

I just wanted to say that I am the one that shot this video and am happy that so many people like it! Thank you all for appreciating it and thanks for your kind words. This video is really kind of uplifting… it was great to see all those that came out to catch just a glimpse of the President! I took off of work that day just for this occasion and am sooooo glad I did! I will never forget that my friends, myself and a few random people got to see the President in our small city on the lake shore in Wisconsin that day! It was totally worth sitting out in the 20 degree weather in the freezing wind for almost 2 hours! I don’t regret a single moment!!

p.s. – I agree were a little crazy… but thats what makes us interesting! lol…

JC!!!!!! I LOVE that video so much this is almost as good as President Obama posting a comment on the blog 😆

Honestly, the video is just pure joy, thank you so, so, so much for posting it on YouTube, as you can see from the comments here everyone adored it.

Your description of the day is just lovely, I’m just thrilled that your two hour wait in that cold was rewarded. Again, thank you so much, a real pleasure ‘meeting’ you here 😉

In case you miss it, this is JC’s comment from the ‘How to post a comment’ page: “hey just saw you linked my video and photo of Obama that I took in Manitowoc Wisconsin… Just wanted to say thanks for using it on your site, thats pretty cool! and Yes the trick is to hold your camera still! lol…”

OK, I just watched this video again for about the 3rd time. I grew up in a smaller town than this. Love the energy, love the ‘dozer blocking off the intersection, love the officer joshing with you – love how you captured the excitement of the moment. Thank you JCBohman for sharing this video, and thank you as always, Chipsticks, for posting it for us to enjoy.

Videos like this is one reason I have eternal gratitude for being alive at this moment when you share, witness and comment on specific moments with everyone in the world whether it is a warm smile on a cold day during a motorcade in Manitowoc or a blossoming of freedom in Cairo. It’s a great time to be alive and to have this powerful tool at our fingertips.

You imparted so much joy by sharing this video…….although I’m little envious of your real life experience, I’m so glad you were willing to share it with others. As a Minnesotan, I especially appreciate your efforts on a January day…….and as an aside….Go Packers…Good Luck at the Superbowl. My parents lived for several years near Fond Du Lac, and we came to love and appreciate Wisconsin and it’s good people.

As you can tell, this is a community that fully embraces our President……we think he’s pretty remarkable, and our feelings are reinforced over and over when we witness the responses of people all over this great country, who have the good fortune to connect with him in a more personal way. Again thanks for sharing with us the fun, excitement and warm welcome that Manitowoc rolled out for the President. You allowed us to be there in spirit….and “that was so nice”.

OMG JC thanks for commenting here. I appreciate and love people who share bits of our President’s time with “we the people” he serves so well. Network news and even the dang press “corpse” never, ever show us things like this. Instead MSM broadcast the fringe people, the haters, the people that do not speak for most of us. Thank you for posting that clip it is truly fantastic.

*I was glad you did not edit the running part. Truth be told, I was nervous one of you were gonna fall when running 😀

Jc, I love you, I adore you and am your number one fan. U gave me the biggest smile ever. If I was in your shoes I don’t know what I will do. If this president was Just 5feet from me, I have a fear it’s the day I will die becoz I will freeze without saying a word. Thank chipsticks for giving JcBohman love and gratitude he truly deserves. Am going to watch the video again now. Maybe 4 times. I can’t believe he commented here welcome sir we all love u.

chipsticks i really have this feeling that PBO KNOWS WHO U R may be he can’t comment on your blog but Ireggie keeps him updated. I was heartbroken the other day when i heard that some proffessional lefty bloggers were invited at the whitehouse and talked to Axerold and i said to myself how about my chipsticks and BWD!!!!! but hey we have our JCBohman to celebrate so let me stop winning i have so much to be thankful for.

I would love to see Chipsticks and BWD in session with the President and FLOTUS, documented of course, by the skillful lens of Pete Souza. Oh my, what a happy day that would be! Time to e-mail the Whitehouse.

      • January 30, 2011 at 10:46 pm

Well, you’re just lovely for having that thought Sue, but as I always say, this’d be me in any meeting with the President:

          January 30, 2011 at 11:47 pm

Well, I sent my e-mail……It was pretty lengthy, but in a nutshell..I told them what a good thing you have going on here and at BWD, and that networks outside of the MSM were getting the facts out and keeping the hope alive. I did suggest that they look into your work and consider the potential value of connecting personally with you.

The little character above makes me chuckle, I doubt I would hold up face to face. When I get really, really nervous I get inappropriately and uncontrollably giggly, or I completely loose my voice. Neither of which is very impressive behavior for a grown woman.

Thanks Chipsticks for this wonderful, wonderful site, With facts, joy, and a sense of community you are helping to keep hope alive.

    • January 30, 2011 at 11:01 pm

Hey Me4Obama, I’m not entirely sure my beloved BWD would handle such a meeting any better than me, I suspect it’d be this kind of double-act:

Thats the exact reaction I had when those PL bloggers were invited. I said, are you kidding me? You mean Chipsticks and BWD? The day CS and BWD will be able to meet Potus, I will shout out with glee coz they have done soo much to articulate the Presidents policies/acievements. Back to JC, that was hilarious, all that energy. I was smilling ear to ear while watching it and was happy for them to have experienced such a monumental moment. Thanks JC for sharing and for visiting this wonderful site and we would like it if you visited here again coz its good company all around. As always, Chipsticks you are a darling, thanks for posting the video and we really appreciate all the work you do to keep us informed and letting us hope again. Thank you.

You know, I really, really love this blog. When President Obama was in Trinidad and Tobago. I seriously thought of catching a plane and going there even to see a glimpse of him. But then common sense prevailed. My daughter says I am a stalker. Every time she passes by I am on this site.

    • January 30, 2011 at 10:58 pm

Give my love to your daughter Joy!

    • January 31, 2011 at 4:21 am

      I feel you Joy.

My mother thinks I need help. From the moment I get home from work I turn on my laptop and go directly to this site. And I visit it during the day at work. I don’t know what I would do without it.

I’ll never forget the time when I went out on the highway with my “yes we can” banner to catch a glimpse of the president as he passed by. I’ll never forget it.

My video of the moment is unrecognizable. Can’t make out a thing.

      Chipsticks knows the story. 🙂

Just purely positive from beginning to end. The video of pure glee, the silent and earnest running in the ice, the jubilation, the slow motion and still shots – and then the comment on Chipsticks blog. Wonderful. The comments on YouTube are just as positive (so far). Lovely.

Ok, time for me to come out of the closet with my own stalker status!! I can’t tell you how uplifting this site is and I find myself coming here everyday after stumbling upon it last year. I appreciate that with such grave news, complaints and ‘drama’ about what our President isn’t doing, that there is a positive, fun and inspiring website such as this one that captures him at his best!! I too, wish that you are awarded a chance to meet POTUS and FLOTUS soon… so let’s just speak it into existence!!
    Blessings and Joy-Jaz

    • February 1, 2011 at 12:27 pm

Jaz, you’re a sweetheart!!!! Just thrilled you enjoy the blog and that it gives you a smile, thank you so much for visiting! But again, honestly, I would lose the ability to breathe if I found myself in the same room as the President or First Lady 😆
