This has got to be the most photographed couple in the world! Did you hear all the cameras snapping? Mrs.Obama looks lovely, stunning! President Obama looks very handsome. I envy the job of the lady who greeted the Chinese leader. She was dressed nicely also.

Michelle looks absolutely stunning….President Obama handsome as ever. Doubly gorgeous together.

With the background noise it was a strange conflux of sound and visuals……I suppose someone was protesting. It sounded, at first, much like a pep rally to me.

The POTUS and FLOTUS look absolutely amazing tonight.

I was just on whitehouse.gov and there seems to be an update about the live stream.

Unfortunately it looks like they are having technical difficulties and they are asking viewers to “check for it on demand on Whitehouse.gov later tonight”.

I wonder if C-span will be carrying it.

Let me add my wooooooowwwww!. Michelle’s whole get-up…..dress, hair, make-up….she has become my fashion inspiration. I purposely look for clothes inspired by her choices. Just lovely. Of course, POTUS could be in sweats and he’s sexy!

They’re just stunning, the two of them – beautiful inside and out. Love them.

PS Was anyone worried the Chinese President’s car door wouldn’t open? I had visions of him having to climb out the window. 😕

I think President Hu Jintao is impressed with our president and FL. IMHO, that’s an important part of conducting foreign relations, along with all of the other details involved. We cannot dismiss our president’s ability and willingness to talk to others who don’t share 100% of his views as a key ingredient, either.

    Our first couple looks fab–u–lous!!!!!!!!!!!

    • January 19, 2011 at 7:54 pm

Absolutely agree Majii. History is jam-packed with stories of leaders just not hitting it off on a personal level, often because of arrogance and a basic lack of manners, and how that resulted in them failing to ever work together constructively. President Obama’s close relations with so many leaders – eg President Medvedev of Russia, President Calderon of Mexico and former President Lula of Brazil – aren’t just an indication of his warmth and manners, but also a sign of how important he views this kind of mutual respect. I flippin’ adore him for it!

Heck, he was even sweet to President Calderon’s dog 🙂

Chipsticks am kindly asking you to stop getting us all excited and giddy with all the wonderful news and the lovely pictures. My head is spinning now because I can’t bring myself to get off this lovely blog. I turn off my iPad and turn it on again in a matter of minutes. Thanks so much again for driving our adrenaline so high. This has been a good day in the Obama world indeed. Am off now, may be! Oh who am I kidding.

    • January 19, 2011 at 8:38 pm

Ah Me4obama, you made me smile very, very, very broadly – hugs!!!

Hey, blame President Obama – it’s not my fault if the good news keeps on coming!

It is funny, though – on the day the House Re-puke-licans voted to – ho, ho – repeal Healthcare reform (and their votes were, needless to say, in no way connected to the fact that they are largely funded by the health insurance industry) all this wonderful news came out …. the public is finally beginning to realize that the President’s healthcare reform is making a hugely positive impact on their lives; his approval ratings are soaring; the economic news is uplifting (manufacturing jobs are coming back for the first time since 1997 and deals with China will provide hundreds of thousands more US jobs), etc, etc, etc…..

I will sleep soundly tonight. Very soundly 😉

Mrs. O is so beautiful, she could be a model, I imagine the fashion folks love her. She always tries unusual outfits and pulls them off. She is just stunning. As a short, spreading, lady with wrinkles I can only admire and dream. You go girl. I hope they have a wonderful evening.

Well they did invite Ann Wintour, Editor of Vogue tonite. LOL I just can’t imagine President Hu Jintao not being impressed with all the protocal that our White House/President and Mrs. Obama have prepared for him. I am so proud of them and love the opportunity to feel a part of the procedings. Michelle is one exotic woman. I can’t imagine anyone wearing that dress as well as she does. She is so beautiful, of course, along with our President. I would love to see some of the Chinese newspapers opinions regarding this extremely important visit.
