Wonderful. wouldn’t it be swell if folks began to realize what a warm caring person President Obama is. Videos like these help get the word out. Thanks so much.
It is Saturday and I am in love with PBO and family. Love the videos; they bring a smile to my face and joy in my heart. I’m always leary of the idea of role models because no one is perfect and we must seek to be the best of who we are; however, it does say something to other men, husbands, and fathers when the leader of the free world is such a joyous family man; that being surrounded by women (including the girls and Mrs. Robinson in this ) is not a trial, but a great gift and inspiration. The most telling thing about the president’s character is how his girls love on him; how they volunteer hugs, kisses, and teasing. No painful posing for the political picture for this family. They are family values personified. How can the haters not see this?
Chipstick, I am becoming a big fan. I particularly loved Friday I’m in Love because it is a big hearted and joyous tribute to having a good time. A smile on the face and a hug are two of the best things in the world. It seems we don’t get to see POTUS smile as much as he used to.
I cheated a bit yesterday by telling the crowd over at The People’s View–off topic. I hope some of them visited.
Hiya Dorothy, so happy you liked the videos, we all need a bit of a lift after a very difficult time, so hopefully they raised a smile or two. Thanks so much Dorothy.
Hi Dorothy, I’m worried about your disappearing messages!
I think this might be the issue –
People who are registered users with WordPress, who host this site, are ‘recognized’ by the site each time they log in and comment – if they had a previously ‘approved’ comment then their comments are allowed through automatically every time after that. (I have to do it this way to keep out those Tea Party charmers!).
If you’re not a registered WordPress user then you’re effectively a new ‘visitor’ every time you post a comment – so until the comment is ‘approved’ it won’t show up. So, your messages aren’t disappearing, they’re just waiting for me to wake up and let them through!
I’d love to have this as a completely open site, Dorothy, where anyone can comment, but you can imagine the kind of abuse that comes through from the hatemongers.
Hang on Dorothy, your comments are coming through now without any ‘approval’ required, so it looks like you don’t need to register with WordPress at all – I am hopelessly confused!!
I just love the way the woman in grey with the red shoes goes to greet him, but then just throws up her hands and embraces him. Cracks me up every time I see her.
I have never said this out loud, but I have looked at that video many times and it seems to me that Dick Cheney is avoiding shaking then Senator Obama’s hand. I don’t want to see what I believe…I want to see what is real.
Did anyone else notice this, or am I making stuff up in my head. Full disclosure: I don’t care for Dick Cheney.

Hope that clears it up!
Okay. I was wondering if that might be the issue. I guess I had better register.
I just watched Friday I’m in Love again. It just makes me grin like a baby. So much fun to see the boy in our POTUS.

Also love Justice Kagan’s hearty laugh!
Have to add, in the second clip, look at Sasha prancing about and waving when her dad is being sworn in as senator. So darn cute, that Sasha š
Did you notice how she was initially reluctant to shake hands with Dick Cheney? That girl will go far! š
Sasha steals the show! What a delightful cut-up.

so, the president had no warmth until yesterday? ok.
