a couple of things….

(Random photo that I love)

(1) OUTRAGE in the Right Wing and Professional Left media over the President’s reference to Robert Gibbs’ “relatively modest pay”. Don’t any of these people understand the word “relatively”? Get a dictionary! The context would have been obvious to an intellectually-challenged giraffe: the President was making the point that Gibbs could have earned a lot more in the private sector the last two years – working, for example, as a lobbyist – but chose to work for government.

What’s that? A fact.

(2) SNEERING in the Right Wing and Professional Left media over how much more applause Pete Rouse got, compared to Bill Daley, at yesterday’s Chief of Staff announcement by the President. Even an intellectually-challenged tomato could have figured that one out – the room was filled with White House colleagues of Rouse who, clearly, adored the fella. Daley? Um, he’s brand new to the Obama administration, so he hasn’t had the chance yet to make any White House friends.

What’s that? A fact.

So what is Gibb’s salary. 120k-140k?

  2. January 7, 2011 at 11:33 pm

Reportedly $172,000, a fraction of what he would have earned in the private sector – which was the President’s point.

What the right should address and defend is Sarah Palin being paid $100,000 per speaking engagement. Now that is indefensible. reason.

These naysayers and incessently negative people can’t possibly enjoy life. What you resist, persists. Their world is of their own making…..they choose to be losers.

It boggles the mind that these people, especially the frustrati whine about the silliest things, instead of focusing on the big picture. You would think that their major concern this week would be about this intransigent Republican Congress. Instead, they join the foolishness on the right to worry about who gets more applause in a room that is clearly filled with colleagues of one of the men standing on stage, who’s being talked about.

You have to wonder, is there something in the water? Or is it that they live in an alternative univerise?

    Go figure.

Nothing in the water…..they are just mentally ill, is all! To expend energy pointing out negativity on a daily basis is unhealthy for the soul and mind. You cannot be well-adjusted and do this, not even for good pay. Sooner or later, the trappings of this kind of life will eat you like a cancer, not to mention there are no good memories when you get old. A life simply wasted.

what’s happening is that the lame duck session was such a major WIN that they are desperately finding reasons to erase the achievements.

let’s also remember that Gibb’s salary has been frozen for the past 2 years and he actually DOES something unlike members of congress who get similar pay to sit around and press the “NAY button” all day.

Hello, just adding my two cents into the pot, but wouldn’t Roberbt Gibbs be middle class because he makes less than 250.0000 be the class of people who are having this hardest time in these economic times. Also, Robert still has to pay his share of taxes at the 40% rate. I think its another huge attack on middle class earners making less than 250,000 a year, very scary….. Lastly, for all the traveling, late hours, reading every news article, hundreds of blogs, writing press releases, putting out editorial fires, managaging his media staff, being on call 24 hours, talking to the press at all times, time away from his young son, $172,000 is a modest salary as the President said…

Look at you making sense. You know there is no room for sense in the world of MSM, the PL, and absolutely none in the lazy, shiftless, right wingers world. You are very welcome here though.

Now, Chipsticks…you know good and well that the Right Wing and Professional Left media don’t let ‘no stinking facts’ get in their way of their smearfest of our President.

That why websites like this one are so greatly appreciated.

Are these the same people who touted as valid the economic straits of Velma(?), the Black woman of “limited” 6-figured means, with her franks and beans, “exhausted” by defending President Obama? Are we supposed to be too stupid to notice the hypocritical critiques of the idiotlogical and the poutraged?

Hmmm….Velma Hart probably made that much money and the Left embraced her as middle class.
