You betta know it; great observation. Our Pres live by the maxim(?): “Do unto others as you would like for them to do unto you” Not an easy thing to live by, but our Pres is showing us how it’s done.
Much love and peace to you Mr President; my prayers are always with you and your family.
Dan Choi won’t act up. He’ll be just like the other smack talkers – he doesn’t have the guts to talk smack to Obama’s face. He won’t get the chance to make a scene either. There will be a ton of people at the signing.
As I said on BWD’S blog, it may sounds cheezy but there’s no other way to put it: President Obama is fighting hate with love, and fighting darkness with light. Not only he wants to rebuild America, he wants to heal it. Let’s never forget his heroes are Ghandi and MLK. People who call him weak don’t get it. At all.
I agree with your perceptions, they are mine as well.
“Knowing others is intelligence, knowing yourself is true wisdom. Mastering others is strength, mastering yourself is true power.” I don’t know who to attribute this quote to, however, it reminds me of our President’s strength of character.
Ain’t the truth. I try to be a good person, but there is no way that I would respond the way that President Obama does to some of the crap thrown at him. I would have to resist the tempatation to go off just once.
Tally, I sent your quote to my daughter and son-in-law in Ames, Iowa. It was terrific. It would take me three paragraphs to get across the sentiment packed in that one line!
WOW you guys are so amazing I guess that’s why I have started to begin my day here and end it here. It has made me a more tolerant citizen to those that don’t get it. What a wonderful collection of inspiration
This is great! I hope he is cordial
Choi is still and will always be an a@&$h#*%*!!!
People always think they’re taking the higher ground… then they look ahead and see Obama is already standing on it.
🙂 Love how you put that.
What a great message tally.
Tally? That there is the Comment of 2010 😉
Add me to that comment fan column. And isn’t that the truth? President Obama always seems to be bigger than the rest of us.
Loved it so much, I tweeted it:
How perspicacious of you! *S*
Another vote for comment of the year 2010 !
Brilliant comment.
Excellent comment tally. Its going on my facebook status….
Perfect words are perfect. *stealing it* ❤ 🙂
Thank you Tally for capturing so succinctly everything we already knew about our amazing President!!!

And this is why I could never be President. I wouldn’t want to be even the same room as Choi.
I bet Dan Choi being the famewhore he publicly decline and bash Obama about the bill not being good enough.
I really hope he doesn’t. It will ridicule him.
“I bet Dan Choi being the famewhore he publicly decline…”
I wish he would decline just so we don’t have to see his ugly mug in any photo especially since this ceremony will be preserved for posterity!!!

He won’t say a word. He’ll sit there like a good little boy.
Damn this man, stop being so amazing!
Hellooooooooo the legend that is blackwaterdog – love ya, and love your blog, you’re a GEM.

Not cheesy at all, it’s absolutely true – BRILLIANT comment 😉
You’re so right. He’s a better human being than I am. Maybe one day, I can reach that pinnacle. God blessed him already!

I’m coming off the fog of being in The Red Tent all weekend.
Love that site!!!

A supreme example of why my President remains a better person than me. I love him.
Ain’t the truth. I try to be a good person, but there is no way that I would respond the way that President Obama does to some of the crap thrown at him. I would have to resist the tempatation to go off just once.
Thanks everyone! You guys are truly making my day!

That’s a fantastic line….so profound and oh so true. Amazing president we have.
@ Tally, what a great message. Cant top that.
*Stands up & Claps for @Tally* well put!!
I was gonna post a snarky remark but decided to follow POTUS’s lead on this *grudgingly*.
Great line Tally, I am so “borrowing” this…………….=0)

Tally that line needs to be on stickers and t-shirts – Wow!! Gonna forward it on too.
I’m on it! With or without a graphic of the POTUS (words only?)?
