The only puppet I remember well is the Cookie Monster, probably because we were always on the same wave length. My kids liked him too. Now my kids have kids, and soon their kids will have kids.

Elmo talking about school lunches is a great way to get the little kids to accept a more healthful menu, though, isn’t it?

But, you know, my salads have to be drenched in something, preferably creamy. I’m a poor role model, I think.

Hi Joan, I think I must be an Elmo-a-phobe, which, admittedly, is a rather peculiar phobia to have. Kids, of course, love him, I just always assume he’s on the verge of whipping out an axe and murdering someone. I think it’s the voice, and the spooky eyes. Do I need help? Quite possibly!

PS I’m with ya, creamy dressings are the business!!

That was cute. I love how they are going all-in with the children’s nutriontion by figuring out a way to explain it to the kids.

Too funny Stylishgurl…Nice to see you here…Remember you from the early days of Mrs-O.org…

The First Lady’s speech before President Obama signed the nutrition bill into law was terrific…

I loved how she tied pertinent aspects including education, health, economy, national security to emphasize the importance of the effort…She also shut down the naysayers when she reiterated the importance of parent participation for the initiative to succeed, but stressed the point about kids spending most of their day in school and the responsibility of schools to provide nutritious and healthy meals for their wards for the period they have them in their care…
