Sometimes I know that Barack needs the love of his family more that political success. I believe one reason that he stays so stable politically is that he knows his wife and children love him. This picture depicts so much of that. I realize that he is our President, a world leader, the most powerful man in the world and that he has lots of work to do but it is moments like this that makes him realize what is worthwhile. Yes our country is worthwhile however, it is family that is the backbone of this nation. I hope that I am coming across in a positive light because I feel very strongly that this man is in the right position at the right time. Lord, guide, guard and continually protect President Obama and his loved ones in Jesus Mighty name. Amen!

Sasha has a look on her face as if she is saying, Daddy are you falling asleep on my head?

As he rests his head on Sasha and closes his eyes, I hope his soul takes a moment to relax from all of the cares of the world and find some peace.

After all, as Alice Walker wrote to him 2 years ago, it is the soul that must be preserved.

Beautiful collage of video for the holiday season. Family is so important. I get a little nervous that Sasha is soaking up all the attention from Dad. A young girl at her age needs that extra time too. I love how they include the MIL in all the special times. Happy Holidays to everyone.

I have to admit… I found myself crying watching it. Emotions pouring out… The past week has been tough. For every one, but especially for President Obama I’m sure.

    Beautiful video !! Thanks !

Wow. Just make me cry would ya..:-D. Anyone noticed how Common put his hand on POTUS’ shoulder while POTUS was moving along the stage near the end. Our president is truly loved by those who love him, truly hated by those who are jealous, racist, confused, and/or scared. Good thing there are more of us than them. And I have been just smitten with Sasha from the beginning.

I was wondering who that was who put his hand on his shoulder. There was a significance to it – like he was trying to share his strength with the President. I don’t know if that sounds goofy, but I particularly noticed that moment.

No it doesn’t sound goody…LOL. From a brotha to a brotha, you’re right, sending the love and strength, as well as the pride. Just beautiful….I love Common, too.

This is beautiful CS. The comments are lovely too, making me even more emotional after watching the clip. Thank you all for understanding this Pres, sticking with him and for being such awesome people. I just read a commentary about Harriet Tubman on BWD blog, pertaining to our President’s North Star verbiage and between that awesome analogy and this beautiful clip I am happy yet sorta melancholy, tearing up right now. ❤

Oh for heaven’s sake, I’m crying. Good grief. I think I’m the very essence of a “bleedin’ heart liberal.” LOL!

Beautiful tribute to a beautiful family at a beautiful time of year.

Beautiful video which captures why we all love our first family so. We are truly blessed to have such a dedicated president who is also a dedicated family man. Love starts at home and expands outward. Thanks for an oasis from all the poutrage out there A fuller comment on North Star and the president’s embodiment of the AA wisdom, experience, fortitude and perseverance is in the W.E.E.SeeYou comments section (either today or yesterday).
