Staying cool doesn’t make for journalistic fodder -that’s why they have to invent tantrums that never happened. But just remember, staying cool is based on discipline, on being in control. That’s what really frustrates them.

Hey HachikÅ, true enough, that’s one way of looking at it. I kind of see the Leno gag and video, though, as underlining the fact that he ALWAYS keeps his cool, so they have to use trickery to make him look mad! For that reason, I laughed!
This black man will never be “gangsta”…and i didnt vote for a gangsta…Bill Maher should be ashamed of himself to even lump this President,whom happens to be black as just some street thug…I as a black woman was very offended as to stereotyping this highly accomplished man,he sounds like a fool…Barack Obama never acted gangsta on the campaign trail…so why would Bill Maher think he was gonna suddenly be gangsta in the whitehouse??? How ignorant Bill has turned out to be. But what it really shows is the perception some white folk have about Black Americans…This is why so many white folks are up in arms about a black man being President…no way can he be qualified..its astonishing!!!
The blatant stereotyping by some on the left is as bad as the expressed racism by many on the right, but don’t tell the lefties because they’ll only scream with rightful indignation that they supported Obama and couldn’t possibly be racist!!! LOL!!!

You know…I also did NOT vote for a gansta’ – please this is really NOT funny too me. But the “others” are still trying to trample all over this President….
The press would love nothing more than for President Obama to lose his cool. They will be waiting, and wanting….I highly doubt they will get their wish. President Obama is the personification of calm. I thought he was masterful in his press conference yesterday, yet unlike some, he never impressed me as being angry. Formidable, resolute and absolutely secure of his position, I thought he rocked it.
The problems that so many of the president’s critics have with our president is that he is a stereotype blaster. His critics want to apply all of the existing stereotypes about AA males to him, but he makes it very difficult for them to do so. My dad was similar the president in that he loved my mom and us kids, and he went to work and took care of the family. My dad didn’t drink, beat my mom, have other kids out of wedlock, and/or stay out all night chasing skirts. The image of AA men shown in the media today is not what happens in the majority of AA families. I’m a retired teacher, all of my co-workers and friends come from two-parent homes with hardworking fathers and strong family structures, and all of us have kids that graduated high school and college. This is very rarely highlighted in the media, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t millions of law abiding, family oriented, upwardly mobile, tax paying AAs. Those on the left who use stereotypes to refer to President Obama are just as guilty as those on the right of using them to advance their own personal/political agendas.
That has got to be photoshopped, perhaps by a kick he gave a ball or a rock in the past. Funny, all right. Therealso was a picture of the President looking a little angry with smoke coming out of his ears, remember that?
Photoshopping a kick, complete with sound effects couldn’t be difficult to do I imagine. If he had actually kicked the door open like that, friends, I guarantee that we would have seen it blared all over the MSM!

But it would be kind of fun to do special effects with my garden blog, especially with the all the half-feral cats we have around here. We feed them and try hard to catch most of them for neutering and shots. In return, they take care of the voles in the orchard so they don’t strip the trees.
Good babies, I love all of them. One of the worst is better (to me right now) than the “Bold Progressive” Democrats that have been howling at me to “hold Obama’s feet to the fire” via e-mail.

Ah, LOVE your blog Joan – honestly, when I clicked on the link it was like the room filled with flowery fragances!!! Just gorgeous.
I’m still laughing at our adopted stray cat – she is deeply unhappy with the snow that is covering ‘her’ garden’, especially when she had to use it cover her, well, poo the other day. The end result was kind of like a mini snowman, which completely freaked her out …. she ended up slapping it with her paw before darting away. Forever more I will regret not having my camera handy to film the event, it took me an hour or eight to recover from the laughing.
Sounds wonderful, Chipsticks. The cats we have around here and the too many we have in the house and barn and cat shelter and under the back porch are a constant worry, but they’re hilariously funny and touching and certainly have a calming effect on us in this chaotic and toxic political environment today.
Do you remember “You always hurt the one you love?” I thought of that song after reading a recent post here or on blackwaterdog’s blog. I’ll be waiting for apologies from these ungrateful and boneheaded Dems causing Obama so much grief. Every time I get a request for contributions I’ll insist on an apology. I mean it. I won’t forget.
