hawaii holdup

CNN: President Barack Obama is considering at least a short delay to the start of his holiday vacation in Hawaii so he can try to work out a deal with congressional Republicans on the Bush tax cuts that expire December 31, CNN has learned.

Two senior administration officials tell CNN the White House has been getting signals that the lame duck session of Congress could drag on past December 18, when the president is scheduled to depart for Hawaii.

Obama has privately said he is willing to stay in Washington until Christmas Eve if necessary to finish the contentious debate over taxes, the officials said.

While administration officials do not expect that Obama will have to stay in town until Christmas Eve, which he did last year because of health care reform, they believe there could be a delay of at least a couple of days.

DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO MR.PRESIDENT…BUT PLEASE DONT BEND TOO MUCH REGARDING THE BUSH TAX CUTS…I UNDERSTAND THERE HAS TO BE SOME NEGOTIATION…YOU AND CONGRESS HAVE TO FIND COMMON GROUND…BUT STICK TO YOUR GUNS…THEY(REPS) HAVE SHOWN THAT THEY ARE NOT HONEST BROKERS AND LIKE TO PLAY GAMES WHEN IT COMES TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!!! BUT I TRUST YOU WILL MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS!!!

The Republicans play really dirty. They even try to screw up his personal life too. Their soul purpose, and they have said it, is to make him fail. I can’t believe these egomaniacs can be this childish. As long as they can say they stopped him, it doesn’t seem to matter what it is, just as long as the cameras are not on President Obama. And they will be, of course because he’s in Hawaii. i.e., from the very beginning, Senator Clinton could have been confirmed as Sec. of State before the President’s inauguration but they stopped it for 1 day until January 21,2010 just to be mean.
As far as the journalists(?) what journalist/photographer would not want to spend Christmas in Hawaii with their families? The Obama family has spent their Christmas in Hawaii for the last 15 years. (I think, it has been a ritual for a long time for the family, even before his Mom died.) I am eagerly awaiting to see pictures of them having a great time; can hardly wait!!! Christmas in Hawaii with the Obamas!!!!!

Again, willing to do EVERYTHING he can to make sure this gets done just like he did for HCR. Strong, hard working, ready to sacrifice personal and family time to get we the people’s business done. Nothing on this earth can make me dislike this man.

What would the hating ass, quitter half term governor do? Quit half way through and blame everybody else of course.

I hope he’ll be able to leave on time but I doubt it. It’s been a rough couple of years and he’s trying to take on everything. I can only imagine it’ll only get worse once he tries to take on education reform.
