    I think it is great how the President can still manage to try to keep the public calm, by using his cool demeanor and humor.

    I think that the Republicans and the mainstream media could learn a lot from him.

    Hey Chipsticks, thanks for this reminder. there is another clip on NPR’s Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell me, in which Peter and his team discuss how then-Senator Obama called to aplogize to a journalist (or student journalist). The apology was delivered by phone when POTUS heard that his comments to the journalist during a public event had caused his girlfriend to dump him. Then-Senator Obama aplogized for in his words “messing up his game”. Please check it out when you get a chance – audio was featured on the NPR website.
