Happy Thanksgiving to all. And let’s count our blessings we have such courageous, compassionate, dedicated leaders in the white house.
And give thanks for all those who have not given up hope; who know that there will be trials and setbacks, and that power not only never gives up without a fight it also plays dirty. We can all up our game: letters to editor, comments on blogs, speaking with friends, neighbors, combatting the scandal du jour. I make a point of sending my patients to healthcare.gov and pointing out all the new benefits. As pragmatic progressives we can focus on the daily challenge of changing minds, debunking lies, and finding common ground. Part of candidate Obama’s appeal, I believe, was that he always called to the better angels of our nature and challenged us to continue perfecting the American promise while reminding us that all the great movements have been long and difficult. Whining is just a cop out. Divisive hateful rhetoric just covers over the lack of any meaningful program for improvement.
I count my blessings daily that we elected Obama-Niden!
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Thanksgiving to you and to everyone who views this wonderful blog. May God continue Bless and protect our President and his family as well as all people of good will.
People don’t want to give President Obama credit for doing anything. Do anyone remember the bailout of the auto companies? GM is doing real good, thanks to the wise decision of President Obama, but no one want to give him credit.
Happy Thanksgiving, Chipsticks! This Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for you and this wonderful safe space you’ve created for us.
God bless you and yours. 🙂

I can’t watch this without tears in my eyes. That couple hit the jackpot in finding each other.
