right-hand man

GQ interview with Joe Biden – Extracts:
I watch the guy. And I find nothing, nothing about him that’s aloof. Look, I judge people in large part by how they treat people who wait on them at a table. Watch him. Watch how he treats ordinary people. There’s nothing aloof about him.
I think what it is, is he’s so brilliant. He is an intellectual. And the president, in a strange way, has more faith in the American people than about anybody I know. He sits there and says, “Look, we just tell ’em. Just tell them.” It’s almost kind of a blind faith. You know, when someone will say to him, “Well, look, Mr. President, you really oughta do it this way.” [He says] “No. The American people get this. Just tell them. Just go out there and do the right thing.”
He has a great expression. He says—and the reason why I’m confident we’ll be reelected—he says, “Look, I always joke, I always wanted to be a former president. If it has to be in four years, so be it. As long as we do the right thing.”

This guy’s got a backbone like a ramrod, a brain bigger than his skull, and a heart that just keeps beatin’…..The truth of the matter is that I think the American people know where this guy’s heart is.

I do hope a lot of people read this interview. He is so candid in his response.

I read the article. Joe’s a great VP and friend. What I didn’t like is this:

“For the rest of the day, the veep manages to be both passionate and pissed off in a way that his boss has yet to grasp.”

Even after VP Biden telling this interviewer about the kind qualities of President Obama, she insists on putting her own view on display. POTUS and VPOTUS are 2 different people, but people still do not wish to respect President Obama for who he is. Makes me reluctant to read any of these interviews. Overall, VP Biden did a wonderful interview.

Oh EDP4BHO, that got me too.

“…..the veep manages to be both passionate and pissed off in a way that his boss has yet to grasp” is code for ‘the President is cold, aloof, professorial, disconnected and doesn’t understand **real** Americans”….YAWN!!!!!

That bullsh1t line is as boring now as it is moronic.

Good grief, these people and their ugly little prejudices….

It is easy to see how he and the President are such a good fit. Two really generous, smart and good human beings.

Wow, they are such a perfect fit. Two remarkable human beings that dont have a mean bone in them. No matter what the haters keep spewing, the largest Americans are behind you and also lots of people the world over. Just ignore all the hate from fixed news, we know that you are working hard for us.

OMG I’ve got tears. VP Biden is so awesome. I will never forget his farewell speech to the Senate right before the Inauguration. I could not stop crying.

Anybody who doesn’t see the qualities in President Obama that Joe described is either blinded by ignorance or hate – and that goes for the right AND the left.

Thank you Joe. Thank you good man.
About the writers of articles such as this who insist in sneaking in their digs at President Obama, they all think they are smart and yet if they stopped long enough from making complete asses of themselves, it’ll probably occur to them that there’s a reason why he is THE PRESIDENT of the United States and they are just some hardly recognisable and inconsequential writer at some largely inconsequential and obscure outfit.

Joe Biden is a really neat guy; I’m so glad President Obama picked him to be his running mate and Vice Preident – he is a really good human being!
