Rachels coverage of the evil machine that is Fox news is so important, and sadly one of just a few voices pulling the curtain back on the destructive force that it is. This morning it crossed by mind that Fox News is the new McCarthyism.
How do we become David to this Goliath ?

Sue, we all have to stay alert and fight.

Just today, MSNBC “suspended” Keith Olbermann “without pay” ahead of Comcast taking over the network (NBC, MSNBC, CNBC) as 51% owner. Comcast chairman, a die-hard republican and one of the biggest donors to Karl Rove’s group that ran all the ads against Democrats during this 2010 midterm election is intent on removing every voice that is “unfriendly” to Republicans from the network.

Stephen Burke, the new Comcast selected NBC Universal CEO, was a Bush Ranger who raised over $200,000 for George W. Bush’s 2004 re-election campaign.

With the FOX proganda network now viewed as a very successful model for misinforming and controlling so many and wielding great influence on the Congress and its make-up and forcing the Country in the direction of that desired by the owners of the network, its no wonder that everybody is looking to get into this very powerful business.

Unfortunately, the money and advantage to do this lies with Republicans who have made obscene amounts of money destroying our country and the world through wars, arms dealing and oil.

So be prepared for more of the preposterous trend we’ve all been privy to recently: the shift to the hard right by everyone in the corporate media, talking heads, pundits, “news” casters. The memo: If you want to keep your job, you’ll have to play along, do and say exactly what we need you to, and most importantly make it all Obama’s fault.

This is an early set-up for 2012. They are gunning for Rachel Maddow next. The God-awful Chris Matthews is already sufficiently pro Republican and effusively cheerleading for Palin, and singing the praises of and pushing for known white supremacist Haley Barbour to run for President in 2012.
