picture perfect: no 4

By Callie Shell: “It was primary morning in New Hampshire. Barack and Michelle Obama had been campaigning separately all week. In the first few months of 2008 their private time seemed to consist of a few crossover moments in back hallways before rallies. This moment was rare and you could tell they just loved being able to sit together. Jan. 8, 2008.”

Of all the photos of then Senator Obama and now President Obama and Mrs. Obama, this one ranks as my most favorite. It speaks volumes of their closeness and their need for each other. With the photographer snapping pictures, it seems as if none of that interferes with this stolen moment. With his arm surrounding her, it appears nothing else matters except to peacefully enjoy the oh so closeness of her husband. again, She seems to be shutting out the rest of the world out; thus, leaving, again, just the 2 of them. An incurable romantic, I am.
