I voted today and I think in most states you can Vote 29 days before the actual election. You have to go to the Registrar of Voters office for your Ballot.

It is and always has been an absolute necessity for me to Vote. When I think of what my Ancestors had to pay for that privilege, I cannot sit out any opportunity to Vote. I am originally from the South and mother had to pay Poll taxes to Vote, but she paid those taxes, setting the example for me how important it is to Vote. (There were 10 in our household and we could not afford the money my parents had to pay–just to Vote.) My African forefathers were lynched, shot, water hosed, demeaned and just plain disrespected for being beings. The price was tooooo high for me not to VOTE. I cannot not Vote. Even if your ancestors are not African, it is just being a responsible American to Vote and stand in solidarity with All Americans to keep this country moving forward with President Obama. My Ballot was 2 pages long and most Propositions were local except for Prop 19. Prop. 19 is legalizing Marijuana. Prop. 19 will get that young Vote out. Whatever it takes to get them out to Vote.

Our lives would have been messed over in the last 8 years and according to the Republicans, really “No” American is important to them (Democrat or Republican). It is all about keeping their jobs, when a lot of us don’t have jobs because of them. Can you imagine where we would be now if former President Bush were still in the White House, God, please help us. Democrats are not all that spotless either; but, I think they are the lesser of the 2 evils. Vote November 2, 2010 or Sooner.

I too must say that there is no way I can not vote! My story is similar with my ancestors. I may have to hold my nose to vote for a few candidates but if it will help President Obama I will do it gladly!!!

I’ve also vote already (senior absentee). I am also originally from the south, and know about the poll tax and ridiculous test our people had to take to prove they were eligible to vote.

Now that I’ve already voted, I am now on a mission to get as many people to the polls as I possibly can. VOTE PEOPLE VOTE!!!!
