facts? you gotta love ’em

CBS: By the end of his trip, President Obama will have taken nine vacations and visited Camp David 14 times for a total of 80 vacation days (including weekend days) since he took office. But at the same point in his first term, President George W. Bush had taken far more time away – 14 trips to his ranch in Midland, Texas, and 40 to Camp David, totaling 225 days.

Vacation Days, Same Point In First Term……GW Bush 225……Barack Obama 80. What do the HATERS have to say about that? People we can admit it or ignore it, the vast majority of all this from the tea party and right wingers toward our President is racism.

Our news media has lost sight of it’s function in our country’s democracy. They are driven by conflict, sensationalism, and exploitation where they should be driven by facts, presented with no bias. I think they are inflicting serious injury to our country as a whole. I think the incorporation of news outlets is certainly a major part of the problem, also the shifts in technology and the
need to compete due changing business models. I find it very unsettling, and often wonder how consumers as a group could influence a better, more reliable, more honest source for information.
